When Nanaw took Chase to school on Friday, she and Chase said Happy Birthday to Joey. He says he's seven. Nanaw gave him a hug and took his picture. Then Will came over and gave Nanaw a hug so Nanaw took his picture also -- so sweet. After school, Chase wanted to play with his clipboard. He said he was going to find out if his people wanted hot lunch or cold lunch. He lined his stuffed animals up on the couch and wrote down their choices on a piece of paper on the clipboard. It was very cute. He played with his marbles for awhile and then watched Chase TV (a.k.a. one of the PBS stations). Nanaw called Mama to tell her she had changed her mind about dinner and that she would eat something from the fish fry at school. Nanaw took the Berenstein books from the library with her, along with the four workbooks she bought at Dollar Tree. While they were waiting for Daddy to get home with the food, Mama, Chase and Nanaw sat at the kitchen table and Chase read the soccer book -- he read a page and Nanaw read a page -- Chase's favorite way of reading a book.
