Mama had the day off from work on Friday so she took Chase to school instead of Nanaw. Then Mama and Nanaw went on a shopping adventure to Gravois Bluffs and Best Buy. Then Mama helped Nanaw take Charlie to the vet for his annual checkup. Charlie is so big and heavy and needs the big pet taxi, and Nanaw has trouble carrying him. He hid under the couch when it was time to go, and Mama and Nanaw had a hard time getting him out from under the couch and into the pet taxi. But they finally did. At the vet, when the tech put him in the scale, he curled up there and didn't want to come out. So the doctor did the exam with Charlie on the scale -- very funny. Mama and Nanaw went to Gillan's on Main Street, and Mama bought Chase a light blue ICS tee shirt and a blue cow bell with ICS on it. When Mama and Nanaw picked Chase up from school, Brady had his water bottle again. Mama questioned Chase about it, and he said Brady keeps stealing his water bottle. So Mama said she would say something to Brady about it. At home, Chase, Mama and Nanaw played a memory game with some cards in one of the bike safety packets the police gave to the first-graders. Then Mama and Chase played his baseball pop-up game. Then when Daddy got home, they all went to dinner at Reifschneider's, where Nanaw had never been. Later, Mama sent Nanaw a screen capture from Class DoJo with Chase's record of getting three positive marks for today. Nanaw talked to Chase and Mama on the phone about it, and Chase said it was unbelievable. What good news, especially after his difficulty at the beginning of school.
