When Nanaw headed to Chase's house on Saturday morning, she had to take a long way there because the road she usually took was flooded. Nanaw took pictures so she could show Mama. At Chase's house, Chase and Nanaw sat by the front door to watch the torrential rain. Nanaw decided not to go to the little house because of the weather. Chase and Nanaw played school at the kitchen table for awhile. Chase read a Biscuit story from his new Biscuit book and did four workbook pages. They played in Chase's room for awhile, with his stuffed animals. Then he got out a building set that resembled the old-fashioned erector set toy. He took it to the kitchen table, and he and Nanaw built various vehicles. Mama brought home a packet to make snow for Chase but Nanaw left while they were working on making snow. In the afternoon, Chase went to a birthday party where a reptile guy came with snakes and bugs like tarantulas. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase holding a snake -- Yikes! is what Nanaw says about snakes. Brady's family was supposed to come over for a visit Saturday evening but cancelled because they have so much work to do to move to their new house.
