Mama had the day off from work so she took Chase to school. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, it was raining hard. She brought an umbrella for him to use. He told Nanaw that they went outside for first recess, had a half-in, half-out recess at lunch, and stayed in and played with iPads at third recess. He played Math Racing with Brady and other boys. Chase said he was in first place two times, and he was very excited about that. When Chase and Nanaw got home, Chase wanted to go downstairs and watch the tornado movie they’d watched at Rockbridge so that’s what they did. Then Chase said he wanted to play the piano (the keyboard downstairs), so Nanaw set it up for him. He had a great time selecting songs to play – like Living Life ( a Spanish song), When the Saints Go Marching In, Star Wars, Whole New World, and Happy Birthday. He’s very musical – Nanaw wonders if he’ll ever want to play a musical instrument. Chase and Nanaw practiced his challenge spelling words for this week. Last week, he missed two words and got a G instead of an O.
