When Nanaw went to Chase's house to visit him on Saturday morning, there was all kinds of excitement going on. Mama, Daddy and Chase were going to the Blues parade downtown. Nanaw brought along schoolwork but she had difficulty getting Chase to do any of it. He only colored one picture on the library reading program. He didn't want to read the pug pals book he didn't finish yesterday. He only did a few subtraction problems with the calculator. But Nanaw understood that he was excited about the parade and couldn't concentrate on schoolwork. He's also excited about Sunday's upcoming delivery of what Chase calls the recliner. It's really a sectional couch with three built-in recliners: one for Mama, one for Daddy and one for Chase. He wants Nanaw to come over to see the recliner as soon as it's delivered. Mama told him that tomorrow is Father's Day, and he's going to Nanaw's house for dinner so she won't be coming over until Monday and will see the recliner then. Mama sent pictures of Chase from the parade; one was with Mama and Daddy, and the other one was of Chase and his friend Brady, along with their dads. After the parade, Mama, Daddy and Chase went to Uncle George's house for cousin Kyle's high school graduation party. Grandma Pat was at the party and came back home with Mama, Daddy and Chase.
