Chase and Nanaw played downstairs for a long while on Thursday. First, Chase wanted Nanaw to set up the Thomas house for him so she did that. Then he wanted her to put all his stuffed animals he brought from home in the Thomas house with him, along with all the stuffed animals that live in the playpen, plus all the play food items from his tent and his pizza set. After he was done playing in the Thomas house, he wanted Nanaw to set up his tent and move all his stuffed animals and food things from the Thomas house to the tent so she did that. (The first picture below is Sidney Crosby the Cat exploring the tent before Chase got in.) Later in the day, Chase read his books for the library reading programs, and also colored some of the circles in the Columbia library tracking booklet for the reading program. Next Chase did some spelling words and did a reading workbook page about words that started with a silent g or a silent k. Nanaw is surprised at how difficult the things that Chase learns are -- it seems that he's too young for some of them but he learns them so that's good. After Chase and Nanaw were done with schoolwork, they went outside so Chase could play in the water. Nanaw set up the Elmo sprinkler, and Chase had fun playing in it. He also played what he calls water baseball, where he stand in the sprinkler and has Nanaw pitch to him -- very funny.
