Monday was Veterans' Day: Thank you to all veterans who served their country. Mama was off from work and Chase was off from school. So they went on a shopping adventure. Nanaw made a list / agenda. Mama and Chase picked Nanaw up, and first they went to the bank for money for Mama and then to the gas station for gas for Mama's car. It started raining, then sleeting and then snowing. It kept getting colder and colder. Next, they went to Old Navy to buy another flannel shirt for Chase but they were all out of them. Mama bought herself a puffy red winter coat and a black and white scarf. After Old Navy, they went to the big Dollar Tree on Lemay Ferry. Mama bought poster board, etc. for the team member of the year celebration at work on Wednesday. Chase got another fishing kit and a Hot Wheels car. After Dollar Tree, they went to Shoe Carnival. Mama bought Chase a new pair of Adidas school shoes and a black pair of church shoes. Next, they went to Walmart. Mama had Chase try on the Sunday best outfit in the fitting room, and Chase didn't much like the fitting room or trying on the clothes but he did. Mama got him a size 10 instead of an 8. The outfit is very cute; it has a blue shirt, gray vest and pants and a tie. It's for the Christmas program and for wearing to church. On the way out of Walmart, Mama went to Subway and got lunch for Chase. Mama stopped at McDonald's to get lunch for herself and then she took Nanaw home. It was a wonderful, fun day with two of Nanaw's favorite people.
