Nanaw had a talk with Chase on Thursday morning to encourage him to focus and pay attention in class and not get distracted. Nanaw suggested that Chase think of school like it's a computer game. You have to watch closely and remember everything so you know how to play and so you can win. School is like a computer game that way. Nanaw told Chase that Tee Tee would be so proud of him if he focused and paid attention to everything the teacher said and didn't get distracted. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he said he'd done better and that he focused more than he got distracted. He got another 90% on his reading comprehension test today. So that's three 90% scores. In order to move to the next reading level, he has to get three 100% scores. His current reading level is 3.2. After school, Chase played with the new toys Nanaw got for him at Dollar Tree: two new guns for his weapons bag, another hedgehog (named Hedgie Sr.) and another puppy (named Puppy Jr.). Chase wanted some bread and when Nanaw gave it to him, he said he needed something to make the bread into small circles like communion wafers so he could practice taking communion. So Nanaw gave him the hole maker out of the donut maker. Then Nanaw used the rolling pin to flatten the circles of bread. It's always interesting around Chase. The first picture is Chase with the eye patch that came with his pirate gun; the other pictures are the communion-wafer making activity.
