Daddy had the day off so Chase didn’t come over to Nanaw’s house until 10 a.m. He seemed to enjoy watching his kittens playing around him. Chase spent time rolling around Nanaw’s living room floor and playing with the toys that live at Nanaw’s house. Nanaw set the Pack n Play up downstairs and Chase played with his toys there. He also did a clever thing of pressing his hands against the mesh and managing to stand up at the rail.

First thing in the morning, Chase and Nanaw went for a walk in his subdivision and then spent time at the WE Bar / Bistro. Nanaw took a picture of Chase jutting his teeth out, a look that Daddy calls "Menacing Teeth." Sam’s toy of the day was his Puppy Luv heart.

Chase and Nanaw went for an early morning walk, then spent time at the WE Bar / Bistro. Their adventure for the day was driving out to Aunt Karen’s house in Lake St. Louis for a visit and to pick up the tray to the high chair that Aunt Karen loaned Nanaw for Chase. Chase seemed to have a wonderful time playing with the toys that Aunt Karen has for Mila and baby Gabe. Sam’s toy of the day was the yellow pet Mama bought for him at Deals on Tuesday.

Mama took the day off so that she could accompany Chase and Nanaw to Laptime at the Telegraph Road Library. First, they went for a walk at Dupo Park, taking Sam with them. Then they took Mama’s car to Firestone. Laptime was excellent, and Mama said she was glad she got to go. There were eight children there, a record number. Chase seemed to have a good time and was especially interested in a little six-month old girl named Ellie – he kept crawling toward her to play with her. After laptime, the next stop on the adventure was Macy’s where Mama exchanged the defective popcorn maker for one that works. Next came Hobby Lobby, where Mama had her Chris Carpenter and Busch Stadium posters framed. She also bought fabric for scarves for Sam for the Labor Day part Sunday and for Halloween. Then they had lunch at Chick Fil A – one of Mama’s favorite places. In the afternoon, they went to Deals and found out that it’s closing September 15. So sad -- Nanaw stayed for experimental dinner of Taco Bake – yummy!

Chase and Nanaw went for their early morning walk but it was too warm and humid to spend time out at the WE Bar /Bistro. Chase had a really active day, playing on the living room floor and in the bugaboo chair with all the new toys Mama got out for him yesterday. He seems delighted with all the new (to him) trucks and cars. Chase sat up all by himself in his crib today while Nanaw was changing his diaper – we’ve started using the crib instead of the changing table because baby Chase is a total wiggle-worm. Sam's toy of the day was his cow.

On Sunday afternoon, baby Chase went with Daddy on an adventure to visit Grandma Pat and Aunt Patty in Wentzville and Uncle Chris and Aunt Kristen in Silex. Aunt Patty gave Chase a super ball that lights up and flashes as it rolls around. Chase got to see his cousins Cessie and Mallory at Uncle Chris’s house. Daddy says Chase seemed to like watching Cessie and Mallory play – he always seems interested in babies and little children. While Daddy and Chase were gone on their adventure, Mama went shopping and bought Chase two pairs of shoes, a bib for Thanksgiving and a pouring cup to use at bath time. Mama also got out loads of new (to him) toys for Chase to play with – trucks, cars, an airplane, a fire engine, a cash register, a construction garage, and lots of little people. Nanaw came to visit and brought Chase a pair of camou shorts she got on sale at Target – fulfilling her obsession with camou clothes.

Nanaw went to visit Chase in the morning before she went out to Aspenhof. Chase was playing in the living room and he came over to the gate and stood up to greet Nanaw – and to chew on the gate. Mama had gotten out some new toys for him to play with: two cars, one that makes music, and an airplane, his first. Mama, Daddy and Chase went to Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky’s for a Chinese birthday combo dinner for Nichole and Natalie – he was also supposed to go swimming in the pool in his police car but it rained so he didn't. Aunt Becky let him use a blue toy that's been in the family a long time to ride on.

Chase spent the day at Nanaw’s house while Mama worked at home, and he and Nanaw went for a morning walk in her subdivision. Chase raced around the kitchen in his bugaboo chair, and then spent time playing in his crib, watching cartoons on TV, trying to grab the picture frames on the wall and the diapers on the table next to the crib. Nanaw came over for a yummy dinner at the WE Bar / Bistro: hamburgers, Suddenly Salad and a fruit tray with dip. Chase zoomed around outside in the bugaboo chair, while Mama, Daddy and Nanaw watched the Cardinals’ baseball game on the TV in the WE Bar.

Chase and Nanaw went for their morning walk, then spent time with Sam at the WE bar / bistro – Chase stayed awake the whole time. After his nap, Chase played with the “baby in the mirror” in Mama and Daddy’s bedroom, one of the things he seems to like to do. When he was in his bugaboo chair in the kitchen, while Nanaw had the dog and cat food cabinet door open, Chase managed to grab a bag of cat treats – he seemed very pleased with himself. Sam’s toy of the day was a tiger fur bone.

Chase and Nanaw went for a walk in his subdivision before it got hot and sunny. Chase tried his best to stay awake for the whole walk but zonked out at the end. After the walk, they went to the WE bar / Bistro; when Chase woke up, he bounced in his outside Einstein chair. He took a long nap, then rolled around the living room. For what might have been the first time, Chase managed to get into a sitting position by himself. When Mama got home from work, she and Chase and Nanaw went on a Walmart adventure. Nanaw stayed for an experimental dinner of Pizza Joes. Sam’s toy of the day was his penguin Santa.

Chase spent the day at Nanaw’s house while Mama worked at home. Chase and Nanaw’s big adventure for the day was a trip to Walmart. Nanaw tried to find the elephant wrist rattle that Chase lost at her house last Friday but couldn’t find one. So she bought a mirror watch and car wrist rattles. She also bought Chase some magnetic alphabet letters for the refrigerator and a wagon of wooden alphabet blocks but he has to be a little older to play with them. Chase had a grand time in his bugaboo chair, racing around the kitchen chasing his kitties. When Chase got home, Mama sent Nanaw a picture of him crawling into his car seat on the living room floor. In the evening, Mama, Daddy and Chase went to visit Uncle Chris, Aunt Alice and Phoebe and Will.
