Chase and Nanaw postponed their morning walk until after breakfast because it was really foggy outside – just like London in the fog looks like in movies. Chase took a book along with him on the walk he seems to like taking toys and books with him wherever he goes -- very cute. At "school," Chase watched an Elmo DVD about penguins and frogs – odd combination. He also threw the alphabet blocks around the room and chewed on the alphabet letters. Nanaw read the library kit book, "Moo, Moo, La, La, La," to him, and they played with the finger puppets. (Nanaw had to take the finger puppets to show Mama and have her and Will identify the animals – very funny.) When Chase came home from Nanaw’s, they all went for a walk – Chase, Mama, Daddy, Sam, Dolly Dog and Nanaw.

Chase had a major adventure today: He and Mama went with Aunt Becky, Kole and Taylor to Pumpkin Blossom Hill, a pumpkin place with lots of activities for children. Mama says Chase seemed to have an absolutely wonderful time, especially with Kole and Taylor. Mama says they really enjoyed playing with Chase and helping him with all the activities. Chase played in the corn kernels, rolled around in plastic balls, rode in wagon pulled by Kole, climbed on Thomas the Train, sat on a seesaw, climbed on a huge pile of pumpkins, posed on a concrete bull, went down a tall slide, watched the pumpkin shooter (and seemed to really like the loud noise it made) and went on a glider swing with Taylor. Mama said Chase can go again this coming Friday when she’s off work. Kole and Taylor gave Chase three of their riding toys, a car, a hippo and a bouncy thing, and Chase seemed to really enjoy playing with them out in the back yard Sunday evening.

Chase’s adventure for Saturday was going to the Edward Jones Founders’ Day celebration. Chase got to pet an alpaca, a llama, several goats and two donkeys. He saw the ponies but didn’t pet them and was too little to go for a pony ride – maybe next year. Mama won a flower for Chase at the ring toss and an inflatable microphone at the baseball toss. Best of all may be the Elmo balloon that they balloon lady made for Chase at the balloon center. Chase had some of an ice cream drumstick, kettle corn, hamburger, chicken and chips – yum! For lunch, they sat with Nanaw’s friends Abby, Matt, Audra and Stella. Stella had an Elmo balloon so that’s how Mama and Nanaw knew they should get one for Chase. Other friends that Nanaw saw were Mary, Jeremy and Tess and Patti and David.

Chase and Nanaw took their usual early morning walk. After breakfast, they went to Clayton Laptime. Miss Jeannie seemed happy to see Chase, along with the other regular boys and girls. Chase did well with paying attention to the songs and stories and didn’t need much distraction from the books and toys in his Elmo backpack. He did really well with "Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" –he knows how to find his head, shoulders, knees, toes, eyes, ears, nose and mouth. It’s amazing how much he’s learned. He did a funny thing by picking up one of the mom’s library books – Dan Brown’s "Inferno" -- and carried it over to a chair as if he was going to read it. And it’s a big, heavy book -- very cute. After Laptime, Chase and Nanaw walked to Taylor Park, and Chase petted the concrete puppy and splashed in the dog water bowl. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw had school – with Chase playing the keyboard, watching an Elmo DVD about shapes, playing with the apple that Mama and Daddy sent for the teacher and throwing the flashcards around the room. In the evening, Chase, Mama and Daddy went to Jackson’s house for a pizza dinner and to pick up Dolly Dog. Jackson is going to Disney World for a week and Dolly Dog is going to stay with Chase and Sam.

First thing in the morning, Chase and Nanaw took a walk in his subdivision. After breakfast, they went to the library and renewed Chase’s Elmo videos, then they went to Walmart. They took Nanaw’s groceries to her house, then went back to Chase’s house. After a lot of chitter-chattering to his people, Chase took a long nap. When he woke up, he had Nanaw do "Bye-o Baby" to all of his people in the crib with him. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw went back to Nanaw’s house for school. Chase watched the Elmo Christmas video, looked at the baby flashcards on Nanaw’s iPod, chewed on the foam and magnetic letters and numbers, played with the keyboard and threw the wooden alphabet blocks all over the room. They went back to Chase’s house after school and Chase got to see Aunt Theresa. She and Mama and Aunt Kristen were going out to dinner at Tequila’s in Columbia. Daddy and Chase had a father-son evening. Sam’s toys of the week were the twin blue dogs.
