Nanaw went to visit Chase on her way to Aspenhof and found him enthusiastically playing with an empty water bottle. Later in the day, Mama sent Nanaw of picture of Chase enthusiastically eating peas. Nanaw sent baby chase a picture of his kitties and a picture of the new notebook Nanaw bought to store Chase’s treasures and memorabilia. In the afternoon, Chase, Mama and Daddy went to Uncle Chris’s for a fourth of July swimming party and Mama was going to take Chase’s police car floatie. Chase perched happily on Dad's lap on a four-wheeler.

Chase’s adventures on Friday included lunch at Taco Bell with Mama and Nanaw, followed by a shopping trip to Office Depot and Walmart. Then Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw went to Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky’s house, and then they all went to dinner at the Ferguson Brewing Company and had a great time. After dinner, they all went back to to Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky’s house for swimming. Chase seemed to have a good time floating in the pool. After swimming, he wore his new pajamas and looked very cute.

Chase and Nanaw went for an early morning walk in his subdivision. Chase now has his own e-mail address – chasesoutherland1220@yahoo.com that his Mama set up for him – how exciting! Now Nanaw will get messages from baby Chase. Chase’s adventure for the day was zooming around the kitchen in his flying saucer. Sam’s toy of the day is his orange fish. In the evening, Mama and Daddy were excited to discover baby Chase’ first tooth: on the lower left of his mouth.

While Daddy went golfing, Mama took Chase and Sam for an early morning walk. Later, Nanaw cane to visit and they all went shopping to Walmart and Schnucks. Mama and Nanaw had Taco Bell from the drive-through, and Chase had his first Arrowroot cookie. He seemed to like chewing on the cookie but we have to be careful so he doesn’t choke on the pieces that break off. While Daddy was grilling chicken for the 4^th of July dinner, Mama fed Chase a cherry Popsicle, which he got all over himself and Mama. Later Mama gave Chase a bath, and he learned to do his first splashing of his fists in the tub. Nanaw videotaped it – here’s a link.

Mama worked at home so Chase came over to Nanaw’s house. It was too hot and sunny to go for a walk, even early in the morning and too hot for Nanaw’s deck, so Chase zoomed around in his flying saucer. He was delighted to see his baby kitties running around the house. Chase had his six-month check-up with Dr. Charles, and got more shots. He weighs 17 pounds. is 27 inches long and his head is 17.25 inches in circumference. Dr. Charles said he could have Arrowroot cookies, and he might start getting a tooth any day now.

After their early morning walk and a lot of Chase rolling around on the living room floor, Chase and Nanaw went to Nanaw’s house to do the laundry that Nanaw brought from Aspenhof. Back at Chase’s house, Chase rolled around in this flying saucer and played on the floor. Nanaw read a Spot book to him. Sam’s toy of the day was devil loofah again, selected by Sam because he seems to like it.

Mama and Chase had lunch at Manchester Bread Company with Mama’s friends Kim, Terry and Tricia, who all held Chase and think he’s a great baby. Nanaw came to visit when she got home from Aspenhof.
