In the morning after his nap, Chase seemed to have a great time running back and forth in his crib and laughing. Nanaw tried to take pictures of him but he was moving so fast she only got one good of him – petting his huge stuffed Jingle. Chase played in the living room and spent a long time taking apart all the things Daddy built with the mega blocks. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw went shopping at Walmart and Nanaw bought another Valentine’s dog in red pajamas – this one for herself. Now, there are three in the family. Sam’s toy of the day was his green loofah dog from Christmas.

Chase had on cute pajamas with doggies on them so Nanaw took lots of pictures of them. Chase and Nanaw went for a reconnoitering ride in the morning to find the house where Nanaw is going to a writers’ group meeting on Thursday evening. Chase seemed to enjoy the ride, babbling the whole time. For lunch, he had leftover taco meat and cheesy rice from last night’s dinner. For snacks, he had cheese, cheerios and Puffs. Chase and Nanaw played with his toys in the living room in the afternoon, and Chase showed Nanaw how he knows what button to push on her iPad and how to move the pages around – it was very cute. Sam’s toy of the day was his vampire / Dracula.

Chase 's big adventure for the day didn't take place. Chase and Nanaw went to the Tesson Ferry library for Laptime but it was cancelled. So Chase and Nanaw walked around the library exploring. The found a special reading area in the children's section with two huge stuffed bears that are like chairs for little children. But a father and daughter were sitting in the bears. So Chase and Nanaw will go back another time to sit in the bear-chairs. Chase. went for a walk with Mama and Daddy when they got home from work. Then Nanaw came for a dinner of Mama's delicious tacos.

Mama and Daddy were off from work today so Chase didn’t spend the day at Nanaw’s house. Nanaw came over in the afternoon to see Chase and to go shopping with Mama. Chase stayed home with Daddy but Mama and Nanaw talked about him the whole time of the shopping trip. They decided that from now on, Chase is going to accompany them on all shopping trips because he’s such a delightful shopping companion. Mama bought Chase a red quilted vest and two rompers for spring. Nanaw bought Mama and Chase each a Valentine puppy wearing red heart pajamas and holding a baby puppy in his hand. Mama, Daddy, Sam and Chase went for a walk when Mama got home – it had been awhile since Chase went for a walk.

Today’s big adventure for Chase was Daddy and Mama’s Annual Super Bowl Party. Chase enjoyed lots of good food, including cheese, meatballs and Little Smokies. But it seemed that his favorite part of the adventure was running free (sort of) around the house, both upstairs and downstairs. He played with his toys (especially his golf clubs) and his cousin Cessie in his room and in the living room. He also carried the cat toy around the house and seemed delighted with it. Chase seemed to enjoy all the people at the party and gave them lots of smiles.

Chase’s adventure today was the birthday celebration for cousin Lindsey. First Chase, Lindsey, Mama and Nanaw went birthday present shopping for Lindsey. They bought two pairs of shoes, yoga pants and a shirt for Lindsey. Then they met up with Uncle Mike, and cousins Mike Jr., Joe, Robbie and Natalie to have dinner at Cici’s but it was too crowded. So they brought home Little Caesar’s pizza and Crazy Bread and had a feast at Nanaw’s house. At the end of the evening, Mama had to chase Chase (ha, ha) around Nanaw’s house trying to put his coat on him. Unfortunately, Daddy was still feeling badly and couldn’t go along. But Chase was really happy to see his Daddy when he got home.

Chase’s big adventure today was going to Laptime at the Clayton library all bundled up in the Arctic air (9 degrees this morning). He seemed to have an especially good time today during playtime, visiting various groups of moms and kids and taking toys from the piles of toys in front of the groups – it was very cute to watch. Miss Jeannie was blowing bubbles, and Chase was breaking them and laughing. He had a smile on his face most of the time we were at Laptime. For lunch, Chase and Nanaw had some of Mama’s leftover delicious Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Chase also ate a whole banana. We practiced some more on "gentle" but we’re still not making any progress.
