Chase’s Valentine’s Day adventure was a visit to Mama at Wells Fargo. He was quite the hit, as usual. On this visit, he spent the whole time walking up and down the aisles, investigating everything and everyone. He discovered a label maker and figured out how to press the button to print a label – and he printed a whole lot of labels! Chase got to have cookies and to see Mama’s desk all decorated for Valentine’s Day. Nanaw was invited for dinner, and Mama made an experimental Mexican casserole that didn’t turn out as well as she expected. But she has lots of ideas on how to make it better. Chase had a Valentine’s cookie for dessert and managed to cover himself in pink icing. For Valentine’s presents, Chase got two stuffed puppies, an elephant (named Vale-funt), a new bigger version of Traveling Tennessee Puppy Love, and a puppy book – is there a theme there? Sam’s toy of the day was his pink Valentine’s present.

Today’s adventure for Chase was a trip to Walmart with Nanaw to get milk for him. While they were there, Nanaw bought the little Mickey Mouse wagon for Chase that they saw there yesterday. Chase and Nanaw used the wagon to play one of the games in Mama’s games for toddlers book. Nanaw’s new plan is that she and Chase will play new games on the days that he doesn’t have adventures, like Laptime, so the games will be his adventures. Today was Ash Wednesday so Chase was going to have fish sticks for dinner for the very first time.

Today was Laptime at the Telegraph Road library. There was the largest crowd there ever – 21 boys and girls. Chase wore his shoes, and as usual, they slowed him down. So he sat in the midst of the toys rather than running all around the room and seemed to have a good time playing with the other children. When Mama was done working, she picked up Chase and Nanaw, and they went on a shopping adventure at Walmart. They bought ingredients for an experimental dinner for Valentine’s Day – a Mexican casserole.

Chase spent the day at Nanaw’s house. He seemed happy to see his kitties, and they seemed happy to see him. While he was sitting in his high chair in the morning, he had a grand old time throwing Cheerios on the floor. He sat on Nanaw’s lap for a story, once of the first times he’s ever sat still on her lap for a story – which of course made Nanaw very happy. When Chase got home from Nanaw’s, he went for a walk with Daddy, Mama and Sam.

Chase’s adventure for today was the evening gala that included a special dinner prepared by Mama and then watching the Grammys downstairs with Daddy, Mama and Nanaw (Sam doesn’t like coming downstairs). Dinner started off with crescent rolls/Little Smokies appetizers, followed by a rump roast (fixed with onion soup and cream of mushroom soup) and twice-baked potatoes. Dessert was yummy Sara Lee cheesecake. While Daddy, Mama and Nanaw watched the Grammys, Chase played with his Mickey Mouse Club Playhouse and Tunnel. Nanaw posed him in the purple loofah bed just like at last year’s Grammys.

Chase had two adventures today: going to Wentzville to visit Grandma Pat and going to 5 o’clock mass with Daddy. At Grandma Pat’s, Chase had roast beef, mashed potatoes and gooey butter cake. Daddy said Chase really liked the gooey butter cake. At church, Daddy says Chase spent a lot of time looking all around at the new building, then was very active for the rest of the time. Nanaw came over to visit a little before Chase and Daddy got home from church and watched Mama make pizza for dinner. Nanaw also took a picture of the clean Magic Kingdom == Mama had straightened up all of Chase’s toys. Daddy put the gate up by the steps and Chase got run around the house, and opened and shut the gate. He played with his garage with Daddy, then played with his bear-light and then played "shut the door" with Nanaw and the door to his room.

Chase’s big adventure today was going to Laptime at the Clayton library. He’s so cute about sitting quietly on Nanaw’s lap during the song and story time. He gets excited when it’s finally time for play time. He stands up and runs off to get toys to play with. He seemed to enjoy watching Miss Jeannie blow bubbles and then try to break them. He runs around, non-stop, during play time, going from toy to toy. In the afternoon at Nanaw’s house he played with his books and toys in his room, while Nanaw sat on the floor playing with him.
