Nanaw went to visit Chase Saturday morning, and they played with the Thomas train tracks again. Mama decided they should go to Waterloo Walmart to see if they had the shark floatie thing that Mama wanted for Chase to wear this evening in Uncle Chris’s swimming pool. At Walmart, Chase rode on Dino the Dinosaur and seemed to have a good time. Walmart had the shark floatie thing and that made Mama very happy. Mama went to Arby’s to get lunch, and Chase ate some of his curly fries on the way home and liked them. In the evening, Mama, Daddy and Chase went out to Silex to Uncle Chris’s 4th of July party.

Mama said Chase woke up asking for train tracks (that’s the Thomas the Train book, trains and train track Nanaw bought Chase at Barnes and Noble yesterday). So before going to visit Chase, Nanaw went to Gravois Bluffs and bought the last one Barnes and Noble had. Chase and Nanaw played with the Thomas train tracks, and Chase did a good job of learning the names for the trains. In the evening, Mama, Daddy and Chase went to Aunt Becca’s for a BBQ dinner. Chase had a bag of popping things that he threw on the ground to make them pop, and Aunt Becca posted a video of him sitting on Daddy’s lap popping the pops on Facebook. Mama says Chase seemed to really like the beautiful fireworks.

Mama had the day off so she, Chase and Nanaw had a day filled with adventure. First, they went to the Barnes and Noble at Gravois Bluffs. Chase was so excited to see that in the children’s section they had a Thomas the Train table for him to play with. Mama and Nanaw each bought Chase a Thomas book. Then they went to Gravois Bluffs Walmart where Chase rode on the horsie, and Mama bought him a Thomas the Train set with a tunnel and a track. Next they went to Suson Park for the day’s greatest adventure. Chase ran around looking at all the animals and seemed to have a wonderful time exploring. After looking at the animals, Mama and Nanaw took Chase to the playground where Chase had his usually great time. Next they went to Telegraph Road Walmart to get a swimming floatie for Chase but Mama couldn’t find the one she wanted. After Nanaw left Chase’s house, she went to Sylan Park to look for a playground and she found one, plus a water area where children can run around under fountains. In the evening, Uncle Mike and Nanaw went to visit and see Daddy’s completed patio. Chase seemed to have a grand time running back and forth on the patio, throwing sand around.

Chase had a major adventure today: going with Nanaw to the Transportation Museum. First thing in the morning, Chase and Nanaw went to the post office, then for a walk, then to the library. Then they went to the Transportation Museum. Unfortunately, the Creation Station was sold out for all sessions so Chase didn’t get to play in the room with all the Thomas the Train tables. Fortunately, he didn’t seem to notice because there was so much else to do. He spent a lot of time in the room with the circus train, running around and around the display with several other children. He and Nanaw rode on the train twice, which Chase seemed to really enjoy. They looked at the cars on display and walked through as many trains as were open. All in all, it was a very successful adventure. In the evening, Chase and Nanaw went to Aunt Becca’s house for dinner while Daddy and Uncle Stan played golf. Mama said Chase ran around Aunt Becca’s back yard with Buddy the dog and seemed to have a great time. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase in his skeleton PJs and told Nanaw Chase would wear his new Thomas pajamas as soon as it wasn’t so chilly.

Chase and Nanaw went for an early morning walk in Nanaw’s subdivision and saw some beautiful red flowers. After the walk, chase and Nanaw went downstairs and played with Chase’s trains. Then they went to the post office and on the ride there, Chase played with an empty Thomas treats box that Mama gave him for his store groceries at Nanaw’s house. During his nap, Chase pulled quite of collection of toys into the crib with him, and Nanaw took a picture so she could show Mama what her darling boy does. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw played in his room and watched one of his Thomas the Train movies. Nanaw went to Walmart after she dropped Chase at home and bought him another pair of Thomas PJs – his other ones are getting too small. He seems to love his Thomas PJs – he didn’t want to take them off this morning.
