On Wednesday, Uncle Mike came over to Nanaw’s house to wash the outside of the house. It looks really great. Uncle Mike is the best there is. He's the hardest working person she knows. Chase and Nanaw ran errands at noon. First they went to Schnuck’s. Amazingly enough, Chase used self-checkout for Nanaw’s groceries. It was a super thing to watch. Next, they went to the bank and Chase got a sucker. Last, they went to Taco Bell. Nanaw got a Crunchwrap supreme, Chase got a cheese Quesadilla and Uncle Mike got four chicken soft tacos. Chase didn’t concentrate much while he and Nanaw were doing school. Nanaw will figure out a way to improve things. In the evening, Chase had baseball practice so Nanaw had to have him home by 5.

On Tuesday morning, Chase and Nanaw had an adventure to Florissant. On Saturday the jewelry store called to say Nanaw’s ring was ready to be picked up. So Chase and Nanaw drove to Florissant. Nanaw had Chase read one of his baseball books, The Catcher’s Mask. Nanaw was so happy to have her ring back. They went to Hometown Donuts next to the jewelry store. Nanaw bought Chase a berry smoothie and two sprinkle donuts. She also got two gooey butter donuts, a lemon-filled and an apple-filled for Mama and Daddy. They went to the Florissant Library so Chase could play on the Where's Waldo? computer. Chase had great fun and didn't want to leave. He played with the light board on the wall and the plastic blocks. Nanaw was very happy that he had such a good time and didn't want to leave. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw had school. Chase did very well. In the evening Chase had a 6 p. m. baseball game so Nanaw went. Chase was the catcher for two innings. He got a hit and then stole second base. Yay for Chase!

On Monday morning, Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw went to Laclede Grove to visit Grandma Pat. Chase was supposed to draw a picture for that she could put on the door to her room. But he didn’t. Mama and Daddy said they’d make sure he draws a picture. Nanaw was supposed to go to Chase’s house for ribs but she wasn’t feeling well and I’m couldn’t go. Mama sent Nanaw pictures of Chase and details on what he did that day for Days of Chase. When Mama, Daddy and Chase got home from seeing Grandma Pat, Chase had lunch, then did some of his schoolwork with Mama. Then he played on his tablet so Mama could nap. Next, he did water balloons and ran through the sprinkler. Finally, he did some firecrackers (which were too loud), then he did some snaps/pops (whatever they're called). Nanaw thinks that maybe they save the snakes until she comes over.

Happy 4th of July!! Mama sent Nanaw three pictures of Chase from yesterday at Elias's house -- pictures two, three and four. The first picture is from Saturday with Sam sleeping in Sylvester's bed. Nanaw went over to Chase's house a little after five on Sunday. Chase was worn out after such a busy weekend so he didn't talk much to Nanaw. At 6 p.m., Mama, Chase and Nanaw went to Waterloo to Kentucky Fried Chicken to get dinner. Chase had chicken tenders, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Nanaw had three wings and slaw. Mama had a KFC chicken sandwich and fries. Daddy had a three-piece meal. Nanaw's food was delicious. After dinner, Chase showed Nanaw where his wasp sting was. It was very puffy and red. Mama and Daddy were going to put some baking soda on it to make it better. Tomorrow Nanaw is going with Mama, Daddy and Chase when they go to visit Grandma Pat. They're going to pick Nanaw up at 9 a.m.

On Saturday morning, Mama brought Chase over to Nanaw's house while she went to the grocery store. Nanaw arranged the Legos and the little figures on the kitchen counter so that she and Chase could play Lego Minecraft. Chase made a blue Lego Minecraft house, and Nanaw made a a green one. Nanaw put a green cricket in her house, and Chase put a little Paw Patrol Chase figure in his. Mama walked the dogs and made cookies before she came to pick up Chase and bring Sam and Sylvester to spend the night with Nanaw. Mama, Daddy and Chase were going to Uncle Chris's house and were going to spend the night. Chase was going swimming with Elias. He was also going to take his tablet so he could play Minecraft with Elias. At night, they were going to have fireworks.

Nanaw had a doctor's appointment on Friday morning so Chase stayed home. After she was done with her appointment, Nanaw went to Chase's house to play with him. She brought along her tablet so that she and Chase could play Minecraft together. So that's what they did. Nanaw still doesn't understand how to play Minecraft so she's going to read up on it. She's also going to watch Chase play and have him explain what he's doing and how the game works. After Daddy finished working for the day at noon, he and Chase went outside to practice baseball, and Nanaw went home. Later in the day, Nanaw went back to Chase's house to feed the puppies and let them out. She took a picture of them to send to Mama. She also took a picture of the wonderful black and white dogs that she and Mama like so much. In the afternoon, Mama, Daddy and Chase went out to Brady's grandma's house on a lake. He went in a canoe with his friends Brady, Hunter, Mason and Emma. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of all of them in the canoe and also a picture of her and Chase together. They had hamburgers and hot dogs to eat, and Mama brought delicious brownies. At night, they had fireworks. Brady's grandma sent Nanaw more pictures and told her she should have come along. Next time, she will.

Chase and Nanaw had an exciting adventure on Thursday. They went to Powder Valley for the first time in a long while. It turns out that most of the displays are now open. The last time they were there, half of the displays were closed because of Covid. Chase was so happy to see that the huge frog was back in front of the main building. He wasn't there the last time Chase and Nanaw visited. They repainted the frog, and he looks wonderful. Chase and Nanaw wore masks, although a lot of the other visitors didn't. Chase and Nanaw went to all of the displays. Chase had a really great time; Nanaw thinks it was their best-ever visit to Powder Valley. Chase didn't want to leave; he wanted to stay longer. He was most excited about the aquarium downstairs, and his friend Mr. Turtle swimming around everywhere. Chase and Nanaw went to the Tree House, visited the bees, spent a long time at the aquarium downstairs, played in the room that used to have puppets, visited the huge turtles in the aquariums by the fireplace. Chase selected two conservation magazines to take home. I asked Chase when he wanted to go again, and he said middle of July so that's what they'll do.
