On Tuesday morning, Chase brought along his new handheld baseball game. He had a lot of fun playing with it. Today was cleaning lady day so Chase and Nanaw went downstairs at about 9 a.m. Chase took the tablet and his bag of stuffed animals. While they were downstairs, Chase did his AR reading in the Big Nate book. When Chase and Nanaw went upstairs, Chase had lunch: leftover Hamburger Helper that Mama sent along with Chase, plus Hawaiian rolls. After lunch, Chase and Nanaw had school. They did multiplication flashcards, multiplication problems, division problems, state capitals, parallel and perpendicular lines, reading comprehension about a democracy paragraph, a graph with questions about pets, an archeology graph, and coral reef division problems. Chase had a stomach ache again and wanted Tums at Nanaw's house and when he got home. Mama, Daddy and Nanaw are worried about Chase having so many stomach aches. The first picture below is Chase's lower lip where he got hit by a baseball yesterday. Poor boy got hit on the cheek last week. He's getting more than his share of injuries.

On Monday morning, Mama, Chase and Nanaw went on a shopping adventure. First, they met Daddy at Dick’s to return the broken canopy and buy a bat for Chase. Chase picked out a blue metal bat that cost $179. Wow! After Dick’s, they went to Walgreen’s. Chase brought along his wallet (or billfold as Nanaw’s calls it). He spent $65 on an X box gift card, a box of baseball cards and a handheld baseball game. After Walgreen’s, they went to the mall. First, they went to Bath and Body where Mama and Nanaw bought lots of hand soap and air fresheners, plus a candle. Mama spent $98 and Nanaw spent $55. Next, Mama went to Penney’s looking for a new wallet but couldn’t find one she liked. Chase and Nanaw waited in the mall, and Chase played on Nanaw’s phone. Next, Mama and Chase went to Auntie Ann’s for a pretzel and pretzel bites and cheese dipping sauce. Nanaw waited in the mall for them. They both shared their pretzels with Nanaw. In the evening, Chase had a baseball game at 8. Nanaw wanted to go but it was really hot so she stayed home. Chase got hit in the mouth catching a ball in the field but went back in to play. Then he went in to pitch with two outs and struck the batter out. His team won the game 15 to 11. Yay!

Mama posted a wonderful Fathers’ Day post on Facebook today with lots of cute pictures of Chase and Daddy. Half of them are posted below and the other half will be included in Monday’s post. On Sunday, Chase played in the baseball tournament at Edwardsville. His team lost but Mama said Chase said he had a good time. Mama also said she spent a lot of money at the concession stand. Later in the day, Mama, Daddy and Chase came over to Nanaw’s house for Fathers’ Day dinner. Uncle Mike grilled 16 pork steaks and cheese hot dogs. Also, there were Aunt Becky, Irina, Claudia and cousins Joey, Robbie, Lindsey and Nichole. Chase played with Nanaw’s tablet and then played in his room. Mama made lots of delicious desserts, including chocolate pudding pie, Chase’s absolute favorite.

Mama brought Chase over to Nanaw's house on Saturday morning while she went to the grocery store. She showed Nanaw the mark on Chase's face from getting hit with the baseball in Friday night's game. They both took pictures -- Nanaw's is the first photo below. Chase and Nanaw played on his Switch, but he still didn't show Nanaw how to play Mama's Carnival games. Chase left the Carnival cartridge behind, and Mama panicked. She texted Nanaw about it and Nanaw found it on the end table in the living room. Mama was relieved. Chase and Nanaw played baseball in the front yard for a while. When Mama got there, the three of them went to the library. Chase picked out two more Big Nate books to check out. Chase checked out his own books and then Nanaw's books. He helped Mama check her books out because she'd never done it before. After the library, they went to Dobb's to get Nanaw's car. Nanaw was so happy to have her car back.

Chase brought his microphone he got at Jam Camp with him on Friday and had fun playing with it. Chase played with Hex Bug on Friday morning, while Nanaw watched. Nanaw said they would have to put Hex Bug back in the box on Monday because the cleaning lady was coming on Tuesday. Chase said he wanted his TV dinner for lunch. He said he also wanted a side of caramel M&M's. LOL The TV dinner was mini corn dogs, French fries, corn and a brownie. He never eats the brownie in the TV dinner. Schoolwork included: practical math word problems, suffixes, base words, fixing misspelled words, prefixes, a word search, a crossword puzzle, and multiplication problems. Nanaw's car still wasn't done at Dobb's. Chase's baseball team played in a tournament in Edwardsville. Chase got a hit with two RBIs. But then he got hit in the face by a baseball. Mama said it left a red mark on his left cheek.

On Thursday Chase had the rest of the spaghetti that Mama sent, along with another bread stick for lunch. Unfortunately, he may have had too much to eat with snacks and lunch because he said his stomach felt full, and he threw up. In the morning, he did his AR reading in the Big Nate book and then worked on Daddy's Fathers' Day card. He's going to finish it tomorrow. For school, he did division flashcards, multiplication problems, division problems, state capitals, a modifiers worksheet, comparing two explorers' different reactions to their expeditions, exploring under the sea math word problems, catch of the day conjunctions, more multiplication problems, addition problems, and separating run-on sentences into two sentences. Chase played with a lot of the little figures from his room, plus the basketball hoops. He also watched his favorite YouTuber on YouTube. Mama had dinner plans so Daddy picked Chase up after work. Chase had hockey practice last night.

Mama sent spaghetti and a breadstick for Chase’s lunch on Wednesday. Chase was very excited about his special lunch. Chase was going to have to miss hockey practice because he had baseball practice at the same time. But baseball practice was canceled because of the intense heat. Chase and Nanaw had fun doing the new crossword puzzle Nanaw created fun or Chase on the crossword puzzle creator Nanaw found online. In the morning, Chase played water baseball outside in the sprinkler Naans sat in the front porch to watch Chase play. Chase and Nanaw had school and did the following: division flashcards, multiplication problems, gum ball machine division problems, ancient Egyptian reading comprehension questions, state capital worksheet, factors and prime numbers, long division problems, run-on sentences and proper nouns. After Nanaw took Chase home, she had car trouble and stopped at Stuckmeyer's where a nice Mr. Stuckmeyer helped her out. She called Triple AAA and Dobb's and Mama. Mamaw came to wait with her, and eventually, they drove to Nanaw's house to wait for the tow truck. Three hours later, they finally got the car to Dobb's.
