Chase and Nanaw went for an early morning walk in his subdivision in the nice cool weather. Then they spent time outside at the WE bar / Bistro with Sam. Today is Chase’s eight months birthday and Nanaw took lots of pictures trying to get a good smile – but Master Chase was not cooperating and we had to settle for a semi-smile and a lot of messing with the 8months sticker on his chest. But from Chase a semi-smile is still precious. Chase learned to stand up at the gate in the living room and seemed very proud of himself for his accomplishment. Nanaw had difficulty finding Sam’s toy of the day, his new pink elephant from PetSmart but finally located it in the living room by where Chase’s playground kingdom is stored.

On Sunday, Nanaw took Chase on an adventure while Mama and Daddy went to the Cardinals’ game with Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky. Chase and Nanaw went out to Dardenne Prairie to Jump4Fun for Mila’s 5th birthday party. Chase was very well behaved and seemed to really enjoy watching all the little children. Chase has a new toy: a farm made out of refrigerator magnets – he seems to like pulling the magnet pieces off the fridge and chewing on them. He also seemed to like his new musical puppy ball that Nanaw bought for him at Target on Saturday. She’d been looking for a ball like the ones that were a prize for the library baby reading club, and Mama found it at Target.

On Saturday morning, Daddy gave Chase his first haircut, and he looked like such a grown-up little boy. In the afternoon, Daddy went golfing in Millstadt with Uncle Stan, Uncle Will-Bill and others. Mama, Chase and Nanaw went on a long shopping adventure. They went to went to Target and to the South County mall, where Mama bought a cute popcorn popper at Macy’s, along with a skeleton Halloween outfit, a Halloween bib and other clothes for Chase. They went home to pick up Sam to take him to PetSmart. Then they bought Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner. When Daddy got home from golf, they all went for a walk.

Chase came to Nanaw’s house for the day because Mama was working at home. The first thing Chase and Nanaw did was take a long walk in Nanaw’s subdivision. Then Chase zoomed around the kitchen in his bugaboo chair, chasing his kitties and playing with toys. He spent time in his crib, playing with stuffed animals wearing his outgrown clothes. In the evening, Nanaw was invited to the WE bar for Daddy’s wonderful grilled steaks. Before dinner, they all took a long walk to the library park and were surprised to see a carnival in the park – too bad they hadn’t brought money with them for the rides and especially for the funnel cakes!

Chase and Nanaw went for an early morning walk in his subdivision and then spent time with Sam at the WE Bar / Bistro. Silly Nanaw took a picture of Chase’s bare feet because they’re so cute. Later, Chase zoomed around the kitchen, managing to take a tablet of paper off the side the fridge and chew on it. He of course fussed when Nanaw took it away from him. Sam’s toy of the day, the purple monkey, had to be delivered to him in his napping place under the bed in the spare room.

Chase and Nanaw went for a morning walk, then spent time at the WE Bar / Bistro, with Chase in his Jump-a-Roo. McKinley Malone escaped out the kitchen door and ended up behind the WE bar. Nanaw took pictures of chase’s teeth and him sticking his tongue out, which seems to be one of his new favorite things to do. In the evening, Aunt Becky came to visit Chase while Uncle Mike cut Nanaw’s grass. Aunt Becky got to see Chase zoom around in his flying saucer and do his commando crawl on the living room floor. He even did a few regular crawls for her. Sam’s toy of the day was his big fluffy sheep.

Chase came to Nanaw’s house for the day while Mama worked at home. Chase and Nanaw went for a nice, long walk in her subdivision. Back at Nanaw’s house, Chase zoomed around the kitchen, chasing after his kitties. Then Nanaw and Chase went on an adventure to the Telegraph Road library and Walmart, where Chase once again rode in the shopping cart. But this time, there was a seat belt to hold him in so he wasn’t able to chew on the handle of the cart. They also stopped at the office of the apartment complex to inquire about the availability of the clubhouse for Chase’s birthday party but it’s booked on December 15, the day Mama and Daddy wanted.
