Today’s Chase adventure was going to see Dr. Charles at the pediatrician’s office. Mama thought Chase might not be due for any shots today but he ended up getting a flu shot. He was good about getting the shot and stopped crying after a few moments. He got to meet Dr. Charles’ resident, a nice young woman who seemed to think Chase was charming. He was quite the entertaining character in the doctor’s office and played with and tore up the tissue paper on the examination table.
His check-up measurements are: Weight – 19 ½ pounds; Height: 28 inches; Head circumference: 18 ½ inches. Chase was also quite the character at home before his doctor’s appointment, laughing and rushing back and forth in his crib. Sam’s toy of the day was his purple monkey.

For Sports Sunday, Chase wore his Sam Bradford jersey for the Rams and his Cardinals bib for the Birds. But alas, both of his teams lost. Better luck next time says Chase. Hopefully for the Cardinals that will be winning the game against the Giants on Monday night. One enjoyable high point of Chase’s Sunday was his bath and playing with his rubber baseball and football in the tub.

Chase is ten months old! Nanaw came to visit before going to Aspenhof, and she and Mama tried to get a hood picture of Chase with his 10 months sticker but the photos weren’t as good as some previous ones. Chase seems to really love his new little car, or his "ride" as Nanaw calls it. Daddy played in a golf tournament today and Mama had a wine day with Aunt Becca. In the afternoon, Uncle Mike and Cousin Lindsey came to visit and to deliver a propane heater that Uncle Mike got for Mama and Daddy to use in the WE bar. Mama says it really works well, and she’s excited about using it to watch baseball and football games outside when it’s cold.

Today featured an exciting gift and exciting adventures for Chase. Daddy gave Chase a wonderful little car, which Chase seems to love a lot. The car was delivered in the evening, and Daddy put it together right away so Chase could play with it. He played with it lots and of course, tried to "work" on it. In the morning, Chase and Nanaw went to Laptime at the Clayton library, and once again, Chase seemed to really enjoy watching the other little children. Mama was off work and so in the afternoon, Mama, Chase and Nanaw had lunch and shopping adventure. Chase tried out his new car seat and seemed to like it. After a futile search for a Wendy’s in the Manchester Road area, they had lunch at BreadCo. Then they went shopping at Carter’s, Best Buy and Walmart at the Manchester Highlands. Then they went to JC Penney’s at the South County Mall, where Chase met a little 11-month-old girl named Stella. From Carter’s, Chase got his first winter coat, a blue jacket with a zip-out lining, another Hermann stuffed blanket, and lots of outfits. Mama also bought him a Halloween toy skeleton present but he has to wait until Halloween to get it.

Chase and Nanaw went for a chilly morning walk in his subdivision. Chase wore his Cardinals clothes for the game in the evening. Mama only worked half a day so in the afternoon, Mama, Chase and Nanaw had one of their shopping adventures. They went to Sam’s to look at big-boy car seats and to Aldi’s for inexpensive pumpkins and also the random items that Aldi’s carries. Sam's toy of the day was his big sheep.

It was warm enough for Chase and Nanaw to go for an early morning walk in his subdivision. The excitement for the day was a power outage in the afternoon that lasted for an hour and a half. Fortunately, Nanaw brought her little portable battery-operated TV so they could watch the Cardinals game. Also, Nanaw had her iPad so they could still do stuff on the Internet. Sam's toy of the day was his splendid Rams' football.

Today's adventure was Laptime at Tesson Ferry Library. Once again, Chase seemed delighted to watch the other little children. He was smiling or laughing most of the time. Mama worked at home today so he spent the day at Nanaw's house, crawling around his room playing with his toys. He took another step today and seemed very proud of himself. He also spent time in his bugaboo chair chasing after his kitties but fortunately not catching them. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw went for a walk in her subdivision and then Nanaw went to Chase's house for experimental dinner: crock pot lasagna. Yum!
