Chase and Nanaw went for an early morning walk in Nanaw’s subdivision. On the walk, they saw two bunnies. After the walk and breakfast, Chase and Nanaw went to the library. Before they went inside the library, Nanaw gave him his extra set of bath toys he got for the Summer Reading Program, and he played with them a lot the rest of the day. There’s a starfish, a goldfish and a carrot. At the library, Chase played with the various board games, although he doesn’t really know what they are or how to play them. He seems to especially like the marbles in the Chinese Checkers game. With the domino game, he picked up one of the dominoes (which sort of resemble cell phones) and put to his ear and said "Hello." When Chase and Nanaw got to the library Chase didn’t want to play on the computer but later when a little girl sat down at the computer he usually uses, he kept saying "Mine," and started to cry, so they had to leave. After his nap, Chase played in the living room with his new toys from Goodwill. He was dancing to the Elmo music again and playing with the double race track – very cute.

Chase seemed to have lots of fun today with the toys that Nanaw bought for him at the Washington Goodwill. The one he seemed to like most was a double racetrack for little cars. He also played a lot with a big desk that has a drawer, a light and an easel. He also played with an Elmo pretend boom box and a big airplane. All of these wonderful toys only cost $11. In the late morning, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs to play with Chase’s trains. After a long nap, Chase took Nanaw downstairs for school. It’s the cutest thing to see Chase put his hand over heart when they say the pledge of allegiance. Mama came to pick up Chase, and he was dancing to the Elmo boom box. He said, "Dance, Mama," and that delighted Mama.

Chase had a major adventure today, going to the ScottTrade family day with Daddy, Mama and Nanaw. He got to see and pet lots of animals in the petting zoo, including ducks, chickens, a llama, goats, sheep, bunnies, a little pig that Mama and Nanaw called Peppa Pig and a big turtle. He won a stuffed duck at one of the little children’s games. He went on several rides, including the Dragon Wagon, the merry-go-round, a school bus and the bumper cars. He didn’t want to ride on the animal cars, and he wanted to ride in the seats rather than on a horse on the merry-go-round. Chase didn’t eat any lunch but drank lemonade and ate a big box of popcorn. All in all, Mama, Daddy and Nanaw think that he had a wonderful time.

Nanaw went to visit Chase and play with him Saturday morning before she went out to Aspenhof. Mama told nanaw about the party Friday night with Aunt Alice, Uncle Chris and little Will. Everybody kept feeding chips and cheese to Chase, which seemed to delight him. He and little Will spent lots of time running around the backyard and playing together. Aunt Alice brought lots of little Will’s outgrown clothes for Chase to wear when he’s older. Today Chase and Daddy had a father and son adventure to go out to Wentzville to visit Grandma Pat. In the evening, Mama and Daddy had another party at the WE bar with Uncle Mike, Aunt Becky and lots of Chase’s cousins. Nichole brought him a cookie, and Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase with icing all over his face.

Chase and Nanaw ran errands this morning: They took TJ to the vet, went to the bank and went to the library to return the Thomas DVDs/ At the vet, Chase seemed fascinated with the goldfish. He said Hi to the kitty in the cage but spent most of his time looking at the goldfish. At the bank, Chase got a sucker and did his usual chomping of the sucker. In the afternoon after Chase’s nap, Chase and Nanaw went to Walmart. Chase rode on Elmo and seemed very happy and excited about it. Nanaw bought Chase a little Thomas the Train starter set for his 2 ½ year birthday. After they got home from Walmart, Chase and Nanaw played with the new train set.

Chase wore his new Thomas jammies and Thomas tee-shirt that Mama bought for him yesterday at Walmart – very cute! Chase really seemed to like the jammies and tee-shirt, and Mama was afraid he’d want to wear them every day. In the morning, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs to play school and to play with Chase’s trains. After Chase’s nap, they went back downstairs to play with the trains again. Chase and Nanaw didn’t take a walk yesterday because it was too hot and humid.
