For Friday’s adventure, Chase and Nanaw visited the Train House (aka the Museum of Transportation). First Chase did crafts with Miss Linda in the Creation Station – she was happy to see Chase and Nanaw. Next, Chase prepared tea / birthday party for Miss Linda and Nanaw. Then Chase built some towers with the wooden blocks, and Miss Linda and Nanaw built things also. Chase played with the train tables, built some train track, tried on the new construction guy costume and played with the puppets and the schoolbus. Then Miss Linda had a parade with the boys and girls who had done crafts so they could show off their crafts. Chase started out pulling the decorated box in the parade but then traded it to Miss Linda for the bells so he could lead the parade with the bells. After the Creation Station, Chase and Nanaw rode on the train. Then Chase rode on the hand cars. Popcorn and the train table in the cafĂ© were next. Lastly, Chase and Nanaw explored the caboose, and Chase once again played with the typewriter. All in all, a wonderful day at the Train House.

First thing in the morning, Chase and Nanaw played trains downstairs. Nanaw's happy that Chase still likes his trains so much. Friday will be his day at the Train House for this week -- he'll be very excited about that. Nanaw had a dentist appointment in the morning, hopefully the last one for six months. Chase was his usual perfect self at the dentist, playing with Nanaw's iPod and behaving wonderfully. After the dentist, Chase and Nanaw went to the library. Chase played on the computer and with the library toys. Next, they went to Walmart, and Chase said it was toy day. Nanaw distracted him with candy from the vending machine, and Chase was happy to accept the distraction. When Nanaw took Chase home, everyone went outside. Chase had a red Popsicle, then went to help Daddy try to find a leak in Chase's new whale swimming pool.

Chase and Nanaw had a major adventure today: They spent the day out at Aspenhof. First. they went for a walk, then Chase played with toy construction vehicles, then Chase colored for awhile. Next, Chase went fishing down at the big lake. Nanaw found her fishing rod for Chase to lose -- it's smaller than a lot of rods and is easy to handle. First, he fished from the bank and then Nanaw took him on the fishing dock where he sat on the bench and fished. Out of all the things Chase did at Aspenhof, fishing was his favorite activity of the day. Nanaw brought home a little fishing tackle box for him and promised to take him fishing at the lake by Nanaw's house in Columbia. Then Chase and Nanaw went for a walk on the path that goes around the lake and has the troll bride. Next, they went to the beach where Chase dug in the sand. Nanaw had brought some of his sandbox toys along. Chase was excited to find seashells on the beach and had Nanaw take them home.

Chase and Nanaw had two major adventures on Tuesday. Before their adventures started, they played village in Chase's room. They put the farm, the playhouse, another little house, and a Ferris wheel into the village. There was also a garbage truck and fire truck, a train and lots of little cars, plus all the little people they could find -- it was grand fun. The first adventure was a visit to the Nature Center at Powder Valley, which they hadn't visited for three weeks. Chase was very excited to be there, and of course he didn't want to leave, not even to go to Tuesday Tails. There was a darling dog named Maggie as part of Tuesday Tails. Her owner was there to read a book her daughter had written and illustrated about Maggie's adoption. Nanaw bought two copies of the book, "Maggie Finds a Home," one for Chase s house and one for Nanaw's house.

Chase did a lot of coloring first thing in the morning, then went outside with Nanaw to help her pick tomatoes. Chase was very excited to help but when he tasted a tomato he absolutely did not like it. Nanaw had planned to take Chase out to Aspenhof on Monday but instead they ran errands because Nanaw had to stop by church to pick up the CD to put on the website. Nanaw uploaded the CD at the church so that Chase could play with the toys in the "cry" room. Chase had a really good time with the toys, and of course, he didn't want to leave. After the church, they went to Dillard's, to the library and to get gas. At lunch, creative little Chase mixed his peas into his yogurt and then ate it -- yuck.
