On Wednesday morning, Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase posing with Daddy by the swimming pool. Chase had his big smile, as usual. Later in the day, Mama sent a picture of Chase in the pool with the cousins, doing cannonballs. Then in the afternoon, she sent a picture of her and Chase both wearing Jack Skellington tee shirts. Mama said Uncle Stan was grilling 10 pounds of chicken wings for dinner. Yum! Mama was going to make chicken strips for the kids. Nanaw went over to Chase's house in the afternoon to get more treats for Sam and Sylvester. They were running out of treats and were on short rations and knew it and weren't happy about it. So Nanaw brought in the mail and got two more bags of treats. Grandma Pat was up, and they had a nice chat. Earlier in the day, Brady and Emma's grandma texted Nanaw that their mom went back to work today and she was taking care of them again. Nanaw tried to take Sam for the first walk but Sylvester wouldn't let them out of the house, so Nanaw took both of them at the same time for the first time. It didn't go too badly. After the walk, Sylvester sat down on the driveway and wouldn't go in the house -- it was very funny. Nanaw cleaned off the front porch and asked Uncle Mike if he had an extra green UMSL outdoor chair for Chase to sit in. He said he did and would bring when he came tomorrow to cut the grass and plant Nanaw's Mother's Day plants.

On Tuesday morning, Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase lying in his bunk bed, playing with his tablet. Creeper (the Minecraft pillow) was nearby. Mama said the rest of the guys were near by. Only three small Jacks came along, not the two big Jacks. Mama said they were going to Stinky's for a drink and then were going swimming (even though it was only 10 a.m. and a little (!) early for a drink. Mama sent a picture of Chase in his floaties, and Nanaw posted it on Instagram -- the first photo she's posted on Instagram. When Nanaw took Sam and Sylvester (separately, of course), she took a picture of each one and sent them to Mama. Nanaw went to Chase's house in the afternoon to take in the mail and the garbage cans. Grandma Pat was sleeping so Nanaw didn't get to talk to her. Yesterday Mama told Nanaw that they were having tacos today, so she hopes they have Taco Tuesday! Nanaw looked up the house online  here they're staying and discovered that it's  worth $3,100,000. Wow!

Mama said they were having rain in Florida so Chase was playing on his tablet. Eventually, the weather cleared up, and Chase went swimming again. Mama says he slept in the bunk bed room but only Mallory was there with him. Cesi and Elias slept in the bunk bed room on the second floor, close to their mom and dad. For lunch, Mama said Chase had a cheese quesadilla and fat fries from Stinky's (Nanaw thinks that's the same thing he had from there Saturday night). Last night, they had pizza. Tonight they were going to have brats and hot dogs. And tomorrow night, Mama thinks they're going to have tacos. Nanaw stopped by Chase's house to bring in the mail, and she got to talk to Grandma Pat. She told her all about the pack of animals that follow her all around the house. At 5 p.m. Mama, Chase and Nanaw had a Facetime call -- ooops, Nanaw forgot to say that Tee Tee was also on the call. Nanaw was so happy to see the bug. He and Mama took Nanaw on a tour of all three floors of the house, plus the swimming pool and the pool house. It was super, and it made Nanaw happy to see where they were vacationing. Nanaw did a screen shot of Chase during the Facetime call, and it's the first one below.

Mama told Nanaw that Chase slept in the bunk bed room with his cousins last night. He slept on one of the bottom bunks, with Mallory on the top bunk. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase in the swimming pool wearing his floaties. She said he was in the pool a long time, mostly floating, but sometimes he did his dog paddling. His cousins Cesi, Mallory and Elias joined him in the pool, and Aunt Becca took a picture of them and posted it online. Mama said his hair is getting blond and he's getting a tan, already! She sent a selfie of her and Chase, showing his blond hair. Facebook showed a memory picture of Chase seven years ago, when they were on their way to Tennessee. What a cute baby he was! And he's such a cute boy now!

Mama, Daddy and Chase left for Santa Rosa, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico at 3 o'clock in the morning. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase playing on his tablet in the dark back seat of Daddy's truck. Evidently, Daddy signed up for Wi-Fi for the trip. Sam and Sylvester are  behaving themselves very well. My cats, not so much. They keep picking on Tyler. Nanaw is very ashamed. Mama also sent Nanaw a picture of Chase asleep on his Creeper and Thomas pillows in the back seat. They got to Santa Rosa around 3:30 p.m. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of the house; they were standing on Stinky's deck when she took it; (Stinky's is a bar/restaurant where Mama bought Chase's Stinky's fish camp shirt.). Mama said they're on the third floor, along with Aunt Becca and Uncle Stan. Also on the third floor is the kids' room with bunk beds; that's where Chase is going to sleep. Mama also sent Nanaw a picture of Chase in the swimming pool with floaties on.

Friday was Chase's last day of school. He'd already done all of his required work, and Nanaw had turned in his assignments. But Chase and Nanaw still had school. Chase did morning work, Spring Prep, workbooks, cursive handwriting practice, subtraction problems, and subtraction flashcards. Chase stayed in his pajamas all day again. Then, when Mama put him to bed Friday night, she put him I his clothes for the next day. That was so she didn't have to wake him up when they left at 3 a.m. Nanaw didn't have to take Chase home. Mama brought the dogs and Tyler over to Nanaw's house at 5:30 p.m. She forgot Sam's bed so she had to come back but Nanaw wasn't there because she'd gone grocery shopping. Mama told Nanaw that as they were driving away from her house, Chase said, "I'm going to miss him." Mama said, "You mean Nanaw? She's a she!" LOL

Thursday was sort of a mixed-up day because it was cleaning lady day. First, Nanaw tried to get Chase to rest when they got to Nanaw's house. He lay down on the couch with his pillows and penguin blanket but only stayed there for a few minutes. Then he told Nanaw he was done resting and was going to play on the computer. Nanaw delayed the start of school so she could get the house picked up for the cleaning lady. Chase and Nanaw went downstairs at 11 and started school then. Chase did morning work, Spring Prep and workbooks. It was nice that his regular assignments were all finished. At 12:30, he watched some of the online teachers on channel 9. It's cute the way he only pays a lot of attention to the 2nd grade session; the other ones, he listens to a little. Nanaw didn't have Chase get dressed so he spent the whole day in his jammies. Mama laughed. The swimming vest that Mama ordered for Chase for the vacation came, and Chase tried it on. Nanaw took a picture.
