Saturday was an interesting day when it comes to Chase. In the morning, Mama, Chase and Nanaw met Brady's mom Michelle, Brady's sister Emma, and Brady's Grandma Debbie at the Craft Fair at Chase's school. Brady was with his Grandma Joyce because of his broken collar bone. Unfortunately, Chase was in an impossible mood. He said he didn't want to go to the Craft Fair. When they got there, he kept saying he wanted to go home. He wouldn't say hello to two of his classmates, Ethan and Emma. He even cried about it. At the Craft Fair, Nanaw took a picture of Emma and her sister Addie and Emma's new doll. He kept complaining about everything. Finally, Mama gave up, and they left earlier than she'd planned. Later, Mama told Nanaw that she had Chase take a nap when they got home. She also talked to Daddy about Chase's bad behavior, and Daddy had a talk with him and told that if he didn't behave better in the afternoon, there would be punishment. In the afternoon, Mama, Chase and Nanaw met Aunt Jen and Jackson at the Fox Theater to watch the production of Wicked. On the way there, Chase was in a really good mood and was well-behaved. That made Mama and Nanaw happy. During the musical, Chase watched it closely and paid attention. When it was over, he said he really liked it. After the show, everybody went to the Field House for dinner. Jackson, Chase and Nanaw all had toasted ravioli. On the way home, Mama, Chase and Nanaw stopped at Walgreen's It was a wonderful day except for Chase's bad mood in the morning. He made up for in the afternoon and evening -- Yay, Chase.

Mama had the day off from work to go Christmas shopping with Nanaw. So Mama took Chase to school, and Nanaw missed her little buddy. But after a busy day of shopping, both Mama and Nanaw went to pick up Chase at school. Mama decided she needed to go back to Hallmark to get more presents so that's what they did. Nanaw bought a singing plush thing just like the one Mama bought earlier. She also bought a Rudolph ornament for Chase, which she's going to give him for his birthday. She also ordered the crayon melter from Amazon for Chase. Now she has to find the remote control car that climbs walls. After Hallmark, Mama took Chase and Nanaw back to Nanaw's house. Chase played on the laptop for awhile; then he wanted to go downstairs and play in the playpen while Nanaw walked on the treadmill. After that, Chase played on the kitchen counter with his kinetic sand. When Nanaw took him home, Mama was trying to get Sylvester to lie down in his new bed, and Chase decided to pretend to be a puppy and lie down in the new bed. He also got in the old bed, and Nanaw took pictures of both.

Before Nanaw took Chase to school on Thursday, they had to stop at Chase's house to get his belt; Mama forgot to put it in his Thomas bag. At school, Nanaw gave Chase a dollar for the St. Raymond collection. Brady told Nanaw that he was going to have Chase stay in with him at first recess. When Nanaw picked Chase up, he said he and Brady played with iPads. After school, Chase and Nanaw played with kinetic sand and Play Dough and watched Chase TV. Chase are yogurt and applesauce and drank chocolate milk. Then Chase decided he wanted to play with the laptop. But he was having trouble with it, saying it was "glitching," one of his favorite computer words. Nanaw restarted it, and it worked fine. It's been awhile since it was turned off or restarted so maybe Nanaw should do that regularly. On the way home, Nanaw dropped some papers off at the lawyer's office before 5. So they got to Chase's house earlier than usual. Mama asked Nanaw if she could stay a few minutes so she could walk the dogs, and Nanaw said yes. Chase decided they would play hockey, and Nanaw said they had to be quiet because Grandma Pat was trying to sleep. They played in the kitchen and had lots of fun. Mama has the day off tomorrow, and she's going to take Chase to school. Then she and Nanaw are going Christmas shopping.

When Nanaw took Chase to school, she saw that the classroom lockers now had the boys and girls names on them. Yesterday, Nanaw noticed that the numbers were missing from the lockers. This will make it easier for everyone. When Nanaw picked Chase up, he was very sweet to her and sort of cuddled up to her. She really liked that. Nanaw had a project set up for Chase and her to do when they got to Nanaw's house. It was a Christmas ornament project, with a card table in front of the TV so they could watch The Secret Life of Pets 2. Nanaw printed out pictures of Sam, Sylvester, Tyler, Charlie, Taylor, Sidney and Chase. They used the pictures to make ornaments for Mama's tree and for Nanaw's tree. The movie was good and Chase watched most of it and laughed a lot. Nanaw forgot to take pictures of Chase so she's including the one of Chase in a Santa hat, plus the pictures of the pets from the ornaments.

When Nanaw took Chase to school on Tuesday morning, she asked Mrs. Meyer how she and Mama could have lunch with Chase on his birthday on Friday, December 20. She said they could order their hot lunch (toasted ravioli) if they wanted. She said the class eats at 11:40 a.m. Mama and Nanaw are very excited about having lunch at the school with Chase. Nanaw had a wildly busy day while Chase was at school: she went to see a lawyer about setting up a trust; she went to the bank for money and to get the house deeds out of the safety deposit box; then to Walmart; then to the library to make copies of the deeds to give to the lawyer. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he showed Nanaw the books he got in his book order; he was especially excited about the Puppy Play collection -- several books and a puppy ornament. Chase and Nanaw met Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky at Home Depot to get Nanaw's Christmas tree. They picked out a beautiful one -- tall and full -- and very expensive -- $96! Nanaw also bought a little baby Christmas tree for Uncle Mike the breezeway. Mama sent a picture of Chase in a Santa hat to Nanaw. Nanaw took a picture of the Jack ornament she bought at Walmart. Nanaw also took a picture of Uncle Mike under the Christmas tree, putting the tree skirt around the tree.

Nanaw has been having trouble with her car ignition and wasn't sure whether she could start her car on Monday morning. She got it started but left it running at Chase's house and at the school. Chase was happy to be at Nanaw's house in the morning so he could play on his laptop. He's been playing a hockey game on the laptop, which makes Nanaw and Mama very happy. Nanaw took her car to Dobb's after she dropped Chase at school. They put in a whole new ignition system so everything is now perfect with her car. Mama picked Chase up from school and brought him over to Nanaw's house. Unfortunately, he misspelled didn't on the spelling test so now he has to study the spelling words this week. Chase says he only has to study didn't. Mama and Chase took Nanaw to Dobb's to pick up her car.

Nanaw went to visit Chase on Sunday evening. He and Daddy had been playing hockey downstairs earlier in the day so the light was still on in the basement. Daddy told Chase he needed to pick up the Star Wars things he'd been playing with, and Chase said he already did. Nanaw was very proud about that. Mama and Chase decorated the Christmas tree. There were two sections on the tree: One was a section with Chase ornaments. The other section was Mama's Jack Skellington section. Nanaw and Chase played in his room for awhile, then they played hockey in the hallway. Next, they went downstairs and played hockey down there. For dinner, Chase had a Ninja TV dinner, and Mama and Daddy had chicken and beef fajitas. After dinner, Chase and Nanaw played Yetti, Set, Go. It's a game where little plastic Yetti figures kick meatballs onto a rock cliff. You try to get the meatballs in indentations on the rock cliff. They had lots of fun.
