When Chase and Mama showed up at Nanaw's house on Tuesday morning, Chase was extremely rowdy -- very cute. Mama shared that Cuz (one of Chase's stuffed animals) helped her drive to Nanaw's house. Then when Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he was very proud to announce that he didn’t forget his water bottle and green folder. Nanaw and Mama told him they were proud also. Chase told them that Josie (a girl in his class) brought seashells and sand dollars to school and gave each boy and girl two of them. Except for Lizzie (another girl in Chase's class). Lizzie got one big seashell. First, Chase said he was going to work on his hockey Roblox game at 4 p.m. today. When 4 p.m. came, he told Nanaw he had changed his mind and that he would work on building the game tomorrow. Chase asked Nanaw for something to eat so she gave him some corn flakes, which Chase and Nanaw call baby chippies. He eats them out of an Elmo container, and he ate lots of them. Tonight Chase and Mama were going to the bowling alley to watch Daddy bowl and eat dinner. Mama was going to have mozzarella sticks and Chase was going to have toasted ravioli. They were going to share their food with each other -- cute!

Chase went back to school on Monday, after his two-week Christmas break. He was happy to go back to school -- he likes school and his friends and Mrs. Meyer. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he told Nanaw he forgot his water bottle. So they went back into the school and got the water bottle. Then when they got to the car, Nanaw and Chase discovered they'd forgotten his green folder. So they went back into the school to get the green folder. Mrs. Meyer laughed and asked Chase if he forgot his green folder, then she said, "It's hard to adjust to getting back to school." Before they went home, they ran some errands. Nanaw was excited that she got to keep Chase till 8 o'clock; Mama was going to dinner with Theresa, and Daddy had a meeting at Cole's house about the baseball team. For dinner, Chase had nine toasted ravioli, mixed vegetables and chocolate milk. After dinner, Chase worked on making a hockey game on Roblox; it didn't work out well so Chase is going to work on it again tomorrow. Nanaw gave Chase a bath, and he had a great time, as usual.

The first picture below is Chase and Uncle Mike five years ago; Mama sent it to Uncle Mike and Nanaw on Sunday. The second picture is of Nanaw's outdoor Christmas display. The third picture is Charlie on top of the ladder, not knowing how to get down. The fourth picture is a funny one Aunt Becca took of Chase. Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky came over on Sunday afternoon to take down Nanaw's Christmas tree and outdoor lights. Nanaw was sad to have her tree and outdoor lights down but the tree was dying, and Nanaw was glad Uncle Mike had nice weather to take down the outdoor lights. Nanaw went over to Chase's house on Sunday evening for a delicious dinner of Italian beef and Caesar salad. Nanaw is going to make the Italian beef for Chase because he gave it a thumbs up -- so did Nanaw, Mama and Daddy. After dinner, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs and played hockey in the blue room. Then they played with the stuffed animals on Chase's bed. Nanaw checked out the Elton John bio movie Rocketman for Mama, and she and Daddy were watching the movie when Nanaw left. Chase got to play with his tablet while they watched the movie because it was rated R.

Nanaw came over to Chase's house at nine Saturday morning. She was going to stay with Chase while Mama went to the grocery store. Nanaw was also going to watch a Christmas movie Mama had recorded for her: Christmas Unleashed. Daddy was working on the blue room floor with Uncle Chuck and Uncle Stan. While Nanaw watched the movie in the living room, Chase played with his Play Mobile hockey game, his game that looks like Connect Four and a ping pong game he got for Christmas. When Mama got home from Schnuck's, Nanaw left to go to the library to pick up a book and a movie she'd put on request from the library. She saw her friend Carol there, who told her about a new wonderful place to go visit with Chase: mymuzeum. Nanaw is very excited to check it out. Nanaw came back to Chase's house to go to his soccer game. It was just Mama, Chase and Nanaw going; Daddy was still working on the blue room floor. Chase did a good job at his soccer game and said he had fun. On the way home, Mama stopped at Pizza Hut to pick up pizza for lunch for Uncle Chuck and Uncle Stan. He also got breadsticks for Chase.

Chase and Nanaw had a wonderful day on Friday. First, they went to Walmart to get an oil change for Nanaw's car. But it would have been a two and a half hour wait so they went to the Magic House instead. Chase's first stop was the science lab, of course. Then they went upstairs to the library. Next, they went downstairs and played with the little plastic pieces that you make designs out of. Then Chase did the car Legos. Next, they went downstairs and played at the big Lego table. Chase decided he wanted to leave because the Magic House was too crowded. Nanaw said they were going to the Train House next to see the train display. Chase said he didn't want to go but Nanaw said he could play with her phone, and she would buy him popcorn when they got there. At the Train House, Chase wanted to sit at a table in the café while he ate his popcorn. Then they went to the train display. Chase invented a game for them to play with the display. It was "I Spy With My Little Eye." It was a lot of fun, and Chase and Nanaw both enjoyed it. They went home for lunch, then went back to Walmart for the oil change. While they were waiting, they tried to find toasted ravioli for Chase but Walmart was out of T Rav. When they got home, Chase played on the laptop for awhile. Mama ordered dinner from Imo's, and Chase had mozzarella sticks.

 

 

Thursday, January 2, 2020

Mama went back to work on Thursday, and Chase came to Nanaw's house. Nanaw suggested they go to Magic House but Chase said they could go tomorrow. Mama wanted Chase and Nanaw to come have lunch with her but Chase said no. Nanaw thinks that made Mama sad. Maybe they can go during the summer. Nanaw wanted to go to Waterloo Schnuck's but Chase also said no to that. Mama suggested that Nanaw follow Will's rule: Just ignore it when Chase says no. Chase and Nanaw played hockey in the hall and then they played hockey on Roblox on the computer. Chase is quite the hockey player and hockey fan. They went downstairs and played there for awhile. They took Chase's stuffed animals with them, and Nanaw accidentally left Bag Jack in the playpen. Mama discovered Bag Jack was missing in the evening, and Nanaw sent her a picture of him in the playpen. Then Bag Jack had a sleepover with Love Hugs, and Nanaw sent a picture of that. Mama said everybody was happy about the sleepover and that Chase hugged her phone.

 

 

 



Happy New Year's! Wednesday, January 1, 2020

Chase played hockey twice on New Year's Day with Daddy. Daddy had to go to the floor store, and while he was gone, Mama and Chase played the hockey game that works like the foosball game. Chase and Daddy played lacrosse outside, and Daddy said Chase seemed to have fun with it. In the evening Nanaw came over to visit. She brought along the Crayon Factory so they could try it out. Unfortunately, it did not go well. Nanaw managed to make a black and white dog from the mold for Mama. But it fell apart when Nanaw took it out of the mold so they threw it away. Next, Nanaw tried to make a blue car for Chase using the car mold. But the blue crayon evidently got stuck, and nothing happened. So Nanaw gave up and tried to call the Crayola Factory help line but they were closed so Nanaw has to call back on Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Chase went into the living room and sat on the loveseat with his Jack blanket, Tee Tee and one of the big Jacks. He didn't seem to be feeling well. At his request, Mama gave him some Goldfish and ice water.
