Mama had the day off from work so she took Chase to school. She and Chase went to visit all the little fish in the aquarium, and when Nanaw picked Case up from school, he told Nanaw about that. After school, Nanaw and Chase went to Dollar Tree where Chase got another "winebag" and two Hot Wheels. Nanaw gave Chase the Secret Life of Pets balloon she bought for him at Walmart, and he was very excited about it. At Nanaw's house, Chase and Nanaw played in his room with his new Hot Wheels, plus all his other cars. He also got out his Tsum Tsums and spread his marbles all over the floor. Nanaw kept Chase until 6 because Mama spent the day celebrating Aunt Becca's birthday, and Daddy had to work late. When Nanaw took Chase home, he showed Nanaw and Mama his school papers with the faces on them -- happy, scared and sad. He said he was happy today and pointed to the happy face -- very cute. He also pretended to draw a happy face and pretended to write his name on his homework papers. Mama and Nanaw are going to have to practice writing with Chase so he can learn how to write his name.

Once again, Chase fell asleep on Nanaw's living room couch when Mama brought him to Nanaw's on Thursday morning. Nanaw had planned to take Chase to the 9:15 Creation Station but changed the plans to the 10:30 session. Before they went into the Creation Station, Chase and Nanaw rode on the train for the first time this year. Nanaw had been trying to get Chase to ride the train but he kept refusing. So on Thursday, she told Chase she was riding the train, and he could just wait inside for her. So he agreed to come, and he seemed to have a really good time. Maybe he's over his refusal to ride the train. At the Creation Station, Miss Linda was very happy to see Chase and Nanaw -- it had been several weeks since they were there. Nanaw made a craft, and she and Chase played in the kitchen and in the little playhouse. They also played with the mega blocks and with the magnetic toys. After the Creation Station, Chase and Nanaw walked up the hill to see the car displays and the train displays, something they hadn't done for a long while. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw went to the Telegraph Road library again, and Chase had a lot of fun playing with the toys and the little boys and girls. Mama, Chase and Nanaw went to the tunnel McDonald's for dinner; Chase got a Superman in his Happy Meal. He had a grand time playing with the two boys and one girl in the play area. They were older than him, and extremely rowdy and loud, and Chase was absolutely delighted with them.

Chase was in a really good mood on Wednesday, both before school and after school. Nanaw took Chase to the renovated Telegraph Road library, and he had a wonderful time -- and didn't want to leave, of course. The library is absolutely beautiful. It's open and light and airy, with windows and lights everywhere. They have a children's area that's separate from the rest of the library. The children can shout and make lots of noise, and it can't be heard outside the children's area. Chase was delighted with all the boys and girls who were there and played with a lot of them. He was also delighted with the toys. Chase and Nanaw stayed for an hour and a half, because Chase didn't want to leave. At least Chase allowed Nanaw to take him with her on her tour of the rest of the library. Chase played a cute game of hide and seek with Nanaw, walking up and down the aisles of books, looking for her. The library is now Chase and Nanaw's new favorite place, and one they'll visit often.

When Mama brought Chase to Nanaw's house on Tuesday morning, he seemed very tired. He lay on the couch, and after Mama left, he fell asleep -- to Nanaw's surprise, he slept till 9 a.m. Mama thinks it was because he hasn't been feeling well. When Chase finally woke up, he and Nanaw went to the Science Center for their first adventure of the day. They hadn't visited there for awhile, and Chase was very happy to see all his favorite things. He played in a new area with quizzes and tricks -- that was fun. Unfortunately, the dinosaur dig area was being refurbished so he couldn't play in there. He went in the smoke tube and had fun with that. After the Science Center, Chase and Nanaw went to the Magic House, which is now Chase's favorite adventure of all. He spent a long time fishing, then went to the pizza place and the water works. He played with the air tubes but he and Nanaw forgot to go play in the vet's office. As usual, Chase didn't want to leave the Magic House and cried on the way out -- but Nanaw promised that they'd return next Tuesday.
