When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he told her he had forgotten his reading book. Nanaw tried to get him to go back into school and get the book but he refused. Nanaw kept trying but Chase started to cry and absolutely would not go back in. It was sort of a tantrum. Nanaw told Mama about it, and Mama said he couldn't have his tablet because of the tantrum. On the way home, Chase told Nanaw how a boy in his class, Konnor, had a Rubik's cube there and solved it really quickly. Chase said he wanted one, and Nanaw told him that she and Mama were going to Dollar Tree later, and Nanaw would look for a Rubik's cube there. At Nanaw's house, Chase and Nanaw tried to make a dog game for Mama in Roblox but things kept going wrong. Finally, they gave up and stopped trying to make the game. Maybe they'll try again another time. After Nanaw left Chase at home (he had baseball practice last night), Mama and Nanaw went to Dobb's so Mama could get her car fixed. On the way back home, they went to Dollar Tree. Mama got food for the food drive at Chase's school and prizes for the Bingo tournament on Sunday night (dinner is beef stroganoff, at Chase's request. Nanaw bought Chase two Rubik's cubes. Later in the evening, she texted Mama and Chase to tell them she would buy Chase a real Rubik's cube at Walmart on Thursday. Once again, Nanaw forgot to take a picture of Chase so she asked Mama to take one and send it to her. In the picture she sent, Chase is doing his reading on the couch because Mama wanted to sit there.

Today was picture day, and Mama sent two selections of clothes for Chase to choose from. He chose the blue and white checked shirt, even thought it was rather big on him. Hopefully, that won't show in the picture. Chase and Nanaw left for school close to on time so they didn't run into too much traffic. Nanaw will try to do that every day. After school, it was raining a bit so Chase didn't ask to go to the park. He said that he'd told Brady he wasn't going to the park today. Nanaw asked Chase who his best friend was, and Chase said Connor. When they got home, Chase did the addition and subtraction flash cards, as part of the new after-school study plan. He did really well, amazingly well, after yesterday's bad performance. He also re-did the page of math problems that he got a 1 on last week. He did much better and only made a couple of small addition mistakes. After their math session, Chase and Nanaw played a football game on Roblox. Chase told Nanaw he had a good time playing and that made Nanaw happy. In the evening, Mama said Chase and Daddy played the Wii and Xbox downstairs and then Chase played with his tablet. His only homework tonight was his 15 minutes of reading.

On Monday morning, Chase was happy that Nanaw got to let him out right by the front door so he didn't have to walk so far to get into the building. Traffic was heavy so Nanaw made a left at Stuckmeyer's to avoid the traffic. But from now on, she and Chase will leave at 7:35 each morning. It was pouring down rain when Nanaw picked Chase up from school. She took the little black umbrella along with her so that Chase would have an umbrella. Obviously, they couldn't go to the park because of the rain. When they got to Nanaw's house, Nanaw looked at Chase's backpack and homework and discovered that in addition to his 15 minutes of reading and math homework, he was supposed to study for a science test tomorrow. He brought home his science book but Nanaw wasn't sure what he was supposed to study. Mama got some information from Hunter's mom and also from Chase's email account. From now on, Nanaw and Chase will check his email account each day to see if there's any information he needs in there. Nanaw is also going to work with Chase on his math with the flashcards. He had a math paper last week that he got a 1 on because he missed five of the problems. All of the mistakes were addition mistakes that he shouldn't have made. Chase and Nanaw will re-do the math paper tomorrow after school.

When Nanaw went to visit on Sunday evening, Chase told Nanaw that he'd played outside for awhile. Mama fixed delicious eye of round (aka beef roast) for dinner on Sunday night. She also heated up a loaf of French bread and made carrots with maple syrup. Chase had plans for after dinner. He said he and Mama were going downstairs to play a Carnival game -- he had it for both the Xbox and the Wii. Once again, Chase fed the dogs to help out Mama. It was so good to see him helping his hardworking Mama. Mama cleaned up the kitchen, then Mama, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs. First, they played lots of Carnival games on the Xbox. Then they switched to the Wii and played lots of games on that. Nanaw was their audience and cheered them on. Mama did really well and won some of the games. Nanaw left a little before seven so she could go home and watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off on the CBS Sunday Night Movies.

On Saturday morning, Nanaw went over to Chase's house for breakfast. Uncle Mike spent the night, and Mama fixed lots of bacon for breakfast. Nanaw ate lots. After breakfast, After dinner, Uncle Mike played table top baseball with Chase, and then Nanaw played it also. In the evening at about eight o'clock, Nanaw went back over to Chase's house for the adventure to Grant's Farm. They drove to the Grant's View library by Grant's Farm and met Jackson and his parents there. They rode in Uncle Joe's Traverse to Grant's Farm to do the Drive-Thru. Mama and Aunt Jen brought lots of candy and snacks. Aunt Jen brought Nanaw a bag of kettle corn -- it was so nice of her. The Drive-Thru was spectacular and everybody had a wonderful time. Mama especially liked all the skeletons and pumpkins. There were some mysterious stand-alone doors that nobody could figure out. Nanaw got to sit in the third seat between Jackson and Chase. There were lots of scary things, like the headless horseman and a crashed space ship. The last picture is of Chase and Jackson in their costumes. The second to last picture is of Tee Tee's bed, which accidentally got left in Nanaw's purse. The third to last picture is of Mama and the Jack Skellington that went along to Grant's Farm.

Mama had the day off from work on Friday so she took Chase to school, and Nanaw got to sleep late. Mama and Uncle Mike spent the day together, and Chase was excited that he would get to see Uncle Mike and play baseball with him. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he told her that he got 20 out of 20 on his reading test. He was very happy about it and so was Nanaw. They put his Robux code into Roblox, and Chase bought another batting stance. When Nanaw took Chase home, he played baseball with Mama, Uncle Mike and Daddy. Nanaw was their audience. There was a fire in the firepit and Nanaw sat by it to keep warm -- it was sort of cold outside. For dinner, Mama fixed Papa Murphy's pizza and garlic bread. Chase had a little Papa Murphy's pizza of his own, and he got to put the toppings on all by himself. As one of his chores and ways to help Mama, Chase fed the dogs. It was very cute to see. Later, everybody went downstairs and watched the baseball game. Nanaw stayed till 9:30, a lot later than she planned on staying.

After Nanaw took Chase to school on Thursday morning, she went to Chase's house to pick up his hockey stick, roller blades and helmet so he could play hockey with Andrew at the little library park after school. Nanaw was a little late picking Chase up from school because she lost track of time when she was putting books on request on the library website. Chase was one of three left from his class waiting to be picked up. Ms. Kennedy was standing out there with the three of them. She and Nanaw waved at each other when Chase saw Nanaw. Nanaw promised Chase she would never be late again. Chase and Nanaw went to the park, where Chase had lots of fun roller blading and playing hockey with Andrew. Brady and Olivia had their scooters and they sped around the basketball court while Chase and Andrew played hockey. Chase took another reading test today and didn't get 100% again. That's three in a row where he didn't get 100%. After Nanaw took Chase home, he and Daddy went to Great Clips so Chase could get a haircut. Nanaw loves when Chase has his buzzcut. In the evening, there was a Tee Tee emergency. Mama couldn't find Tee Tee. She called Nanaw and Nanaw searched her house and car but couldn't find the little fellow. Mama finally found him on the curb in the front of the house. Nanaw was very upset about Tee Tee being out there on the ground. From now on, she will do a Tee Tee check every day that she brings Chase home. No more lost Tee Tee lying on the curb, buried in the leaves.
