Chase had another hockey game in the Fenton tournament this morning so he and Daddy didn't go to church. Nanaw came to visit in the late afternoon and brought her study materials to work with Chase. Chase and Nanaw decided that whenever possible they would do extra studying on weekends, even if homework wasn't due on Monday. Chase usually has sports activities Monday through Thursday evenings every week, which limits the amount of time he has for homework and studying for tests. So whenever possible and necessary, Chase and Nanaw will make sure to work on projects and study for tests during their weekend visits. They didn't do it yesterday because Chase had a long day at the hockey tournament. But he only had one game this morning so they could do some work. Chase has a science vocabulary quiz in the new science book on Wednesday so he worked on writing out definitions of 32 science words. Nanaw was amazed at how much his handwriting has improved. She can read it easily. He also worked on getting up-to-date on his Mockingbird packet. Nanaw wanted him to work on his history Civil War packet but he said they hadn't started studying it yet. Nanaw and Chase were happy with all they accomplished. Tomorrow they will study for the AR test Chase is going to take on the book he just finished -- The Fugitive Factor by Gordon Korman.
