Chase had a major adventure today: He went to the zoo with Mama and Nanaw. Mama had the day off from work so first thing in the morning, Mama, Chase and Nanaw set off for the zoo. The weather was nice, perfect for the zoo. At first, there were hardly any people there, and they had the zoo to themselves. Then, it seemed that lots and lots of school field trips descended on the zoo. The Children’s Zoo was particularly crowded, and they passed up on visiting the goats and playing in the Children’s Zoo building. One of the big treats of the day was a delicious funnel cake that Mama bought for everyone to share. Chase ate lots of it and really seemed to like it. Chase fell asleep on the way home and ended up not taking a real nap in the afternoon. In the evening, Mama¸ Daddy, Chase and Sam came over to Nanaw’s house to do laundry and work on putting the big train together. They also had yummy Taco Bell for dinner.
