Chase has inherited lots of things from his Mama. This morning Nanaw saw an example of two of them. The first one was the OCD. When Nanaw was helping Chase get dressed, for some reason she put his clean socks on first. Chase protested, saying that first you put on the underwear, then the pants, and then the socks. The second one was Chase's aversion (just like Mama) to doing anything against the rules. At school Monday morning, Nanaw said she would have to bring the fat pencils and use the pencil sharpener in the hall. Chase told Nanaw she couldn't do that because it was illegal. After school, Chase and Nanaw played school downstairs until it was time for Chase to go home. They did all kinds of things, including going over the papers Chase brought home from school, writing wrong sentences for each other to correct, and making up math problems using the magnetic numbers. At 4:30, Nanaw turned on the TV so Chase could watch Arthur. Nanaw downloaded a PBS app so Chase could watch Arthur videos on her iPhone. Nanaw went to Walmart after she took Chase home, and she bought a Halloween skeleton shirt for Chase and a Jack-o-Lantern table cloth for Mama, then Nanaw stopped by Chase's house to leave the shirt and tablecloth. Mama discovered that Tee Tee was missing; Nanaw went back home to look for Tee Tee. She looked everywhere upstairs and downstairs but couldn't find him. Then she checked the back seat of the car again and found Tee Tee wedged under the seat. She took him back to Chase's house. Chase came out to meet Nanaw and told her he was sorry he left Tee Tee behind and gave Nanaw a big hug. Nanaw loves that little boy madly.
