Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw had a major adventure in the morning on Good Friday. Daddy was off work, and Mama took the day off, and they went to the Zoo. The weather was really cold in the morning so Nanaw layered up with long underwear and a blazer plus her long black coat. All that really helped keep her warm. Daddy, Mama and Chase made sure to walk slowly so that Nanaw could keep up, and Nanaw appreciated that. Nanaw tried to buy kettle corn but they wouldn’t take cash. Mama used her debit card, and Nanaw will pay her back. They saw cheetahs, elephants, bears, orangutans, lots of swans, and painted dogs. One thing they didn't get to see was the penguin/puffin exhibit. You had to have timed tickets, and they would have had to wait an hour and a half. The penguin/puffin exhibit is Chase's favorite so he was very disappointed that he wouldn't get to see it. Mama and Daddy said they would all go to the gift shop right away. In the gift shop, Chase selected a big stuffed penguin with a little baby penguin. They're tentatively named Icicle and Icicle Junior. It was a wonderful day; Mama posted the pictures below on her Facebook page.
