Nanaw forgot two things on Thursday that could have turned out badly. They turned out all right but Nanaw is going to make notes from now on about things that she's supposed to remember. The first one was Chase's school Chromebook. Yesterday afternoon, he left it on the dining room table where he studies. Last night after they got back from Grant's Farm, Mama forgot to take the Chromebook out of Chase's backpack to charge it. Nanaw was supposed to charge it in the morning and put it in the backpack, and she forgot. Fortunately, Chase was able to borrow a Chromebook from the office and all was well. Then, Nanaw was supposed to give Cole a ride home from school, and she initially forgot. But sitting in line on the school parking lot waiting to leave, she remembered. So they did the thing of going around the parking lot to the front of the school, and Chase found Cole. Nanaw felt so bad but it turned out all right. To repeat, so that these forgetting episodes don't happen again, Nanaw will make notes about the things she's supposed to remember. Chase has the day off from school tomorrow, and he was very happy that he doesn't have any homework for the long weekend. Mama and Daddy had Chase's parent teacher conferences this afternoon. They went very well. The two teachers said Chase is a very good student. One of the teachers told them Chase is was of the best writers she has, and she always looks forward to reading what Chase writes. One of the teachers told Mama and Daddy that Chase scored in the 99th percentile on the Iowa State math test, something that doesn't often happen. Nanaw was ecstatic to hear this. Nanaw was always in the 99th percentile of the standardized tests, and she's so happy about Chase's score. The teachers said that he scored above the 75% percentile in all the tests.
