When Mama brought Chase over to Nanaw's house on Wednesday morning, they didn't bring the bag of guys. They all thought Chase and Nanaw were going to Chase's house after school instead of Nanaw's because Chase had a haircut appointment. But they all forgot about early dismissal at 2 p.m. So Chase went to Nanaw's after school until 3:45. He had a geography homework assignment, and he worked on that for a long time. Nanaw had created the Christmas train table during the day, and Chase really liked it. The couldn't remember some of the names of the Thomas trains so Chase looked it up. The red train is named James; the black train is named Hiro; and the silver train is named Spencer. Nanaw showed Chase the video link that Aunt Karen sent for him of a major train display, and he thought it was great -- he said Wow when he was watching it. When Nanaw took Chase home, he signed and addressed the Christmas card for Brittany, the lady who cuts his hair. Mama bought a present for her but Nanaw doesn't know what it is. So Nanaw will have to ask. Yesterday, Uncle Mike called Nanaw to tell her some very sad news. Our Lady of Guadeloupe, the Florissant Catholic school where Aunt Becky is the principal, is closing at the end of the school year. They are deeply in debt with no way out. Aunt Becky loved the school, the students, and working there so this is very sad for her.
