On Monday morning before school, Nanaw looked at Chase’s The Hobbit chapter 15 worksheet, which was due today. But it turns out that they didn’t turn it in today. They read chapter 16 in class today and got the worksheet for that chapter, which is due tomorrow. Nanaw assumes that Chase will turn in the chapter 15 worksheet tomorrow also with chapter 16. After school, Nanaw gave Cole a ride home. It turns out that Chase is the one doing the most laughing and messing around in the back seat when Cole is there. Cole participates a little but not anything like Chase. Chase evidently really enjoys having Cole there. So he’ll get to have him with us on Mondays and Wednesdays until the end of the school year. At Nanaw’s house, Chase worked on the chapter 16 worksheet. Nanaw read chapter 16 and worked on the worksheet also. Out of the blue and on his own, Chase told Nanaw something he wanted to do this summer on Fridays for his lunch. He wants to go to one of the Schnuck’s and get groceries to cook his lunch. Nanaw was amazed and happy about this suggestion. She suggested trying chop suey but she’ll have Chase make the decision. Nanaw reported his suggestion to Mama, and she really liked it. Of course, she’s thinking ahead to Chase preparing dinner for her and Daddy. Chase’s baseball and workout for the evening were cancelled because of the storm forecast.
