On Sunday afternoon, Chase and Daddy went out to visit Grandma Pat in Wentzville to celebrate Daddy's birthday. When they got home, Chase played outside. When Nanaw called Mama about coming to visit, Mama said they were outside playing hockey. Nanaw came for dinner -- delicious barbecued pork and onion rings. After dinner, while Mama was cleaning up the kitchen, Chase and Nanaw played with some of the things Nanaw brought along. There was one game of matching a word to a picture card. Chase did really well at that, knowing all the words and remembering where the cards were. When Mama was done cleaning up, Mama, Chase and Nanaw took Sam for a walk. When they walked by the Etling's house, Alaina was at the front door and Chase and Nanaw waved to her. Sam had a good time barking and growling at the dogs he saw. Chase picked up eight pine cones on the walk and gave them to Nanaw for a collection at her house. When they got home, they had dessert -- cheese cake baked by Grandma Pat and orange sherbet.
