Monday was a major day of excitement and adventure for Chase. It was his first day of Camp Invention, the STEM camp in Waterloo. His friends Brady, Connor and Nick were in his orange group. The name of one of his team leaders name was Chase (something that wowed Chase) and the other one was Sam. Nanaw found a convenient parking place in front of the building and walked Chase in and signed him in. She took a picture of Chase for his first day of camp. When Nanaw picked Chase up from camp, she had to park around the corner. It was far away and very hot. Tomorrow Nanaw will go early and find a place closer to park. Chase told Nanaw about all the things they did in camp. They made green sea slugs, and crickets. They had lunch in the lunch room. They played with microphones. Tomorrow they wear their favorite sports team's shirt. Wednesday, they wear a hat. On Thursday, they wear something crazy. Then on Friday everybody wears the yellow camp shirt. Chase liked camp so much, and Nanaw is glad he had a wonderful time, even though Nanaw missed him very much. Back at Nanaw's house, Chase did all kinds of experiments with green paint, white paint, baking soda and vinegar. He made a huge mess, including getting green paint on his orange shirt, but it was okay because he had such a great time.
