Chase and Nanaw had another good day on summer break. The first thing Nanaw did was to set the frozen bread on the stove to rise. It was supposed to rise for 4 to 7 hours but Nanaw let it rise for 8 hours. (The first picture below is the bread before rising; the fourth picture is the baked bread. The bread was delicious; Chase and Nanaw ate several pieces, and Nanaw gave Uncle Mike a piece when he got there. She also sent half a loaf home with Mama -- it was a great success!) After that, they went to the Columbia Dollar Tree and bought lots of swim stuff, multiplication and division flashcards, Hot Wheels, gumballs for Nanaw's gumball machine and lots of other stuff. When they got back to Nanaw's Chase put the gumballs in the machine and was so excited about it. For lunch, Chase had some rice Mama sent plus more Lazy Lasagna and a croissant. After lunch, Chase had school. Unfortunately, he dawdled and messed around and used up his AR time and some of this swim time. Nanaw will make sure they do better tomorrow. Uncle Mike came to cut the grass, and Chase had a great time playing with the hose and with one of his little swimming pools. He loves to play in the water. Mama and Daddy came to pick Chase up at 5:20; they'd taken Daddy's truck to the dealer. Mama said she was going to ask Chase if he wanted to go to another camp, Jesus Jam at Hope Church, the week after his STEM camp. Nanaw is sad to miss another week with Chase but she knows he'll have a good time with his friends: Mason, Hunter, Brady and Emma.
