On Saturday morning, Nanaw went over to Chase's house for a bacon breakfast, a tradition after Uncle Mike and Mama's special day. Mama also had quite the selection of mini donuts to choose from. While they were waiting for breakfast to be ready, Chase and Nanaw snuggled on his bed with his stuffed animals. It was great fun. Chase showed Nanaw how his Daddy had painted the hall. Chase was very proud of it. On his way home, Uncle Mike stopped at Nanaw's house to cut a piece of wood to make a shelf. Because of the fire, Uncle Mike doesn't have any wood or saws he can use. Chase and his Mama and Daddy had quite the adventure planned for the rest of the day. They went out to Uncle Chris's house in Silex so that Chase could go swimming with Elias. For lunch, they went to the Knight's Owl café; Mama had chicken tenders and said they were delicious. Nanaw will have to find out what Chase had. Mama said Chase swam for a few hours but then he cut his toes on the deck and they bled a lot and he was pretty upset. Mama told him he was very brave, and he wanted Mama to tell Nanaw he was brave.
