On Saturday, the boys got up about 8:30, even thought they hadn't gone to sleep until 3:30 a.m. They had donuts for breakfast and then everybody left. Chase had to leave for hockey at 10:30, and some of the other boys also had sports things they had to do. Mama said the sleepover was a great success, and Chase was happy about it. Chase's friend Tucker from T-ball ended sleeping over too. At Saturday's hockey game, Mama said Chase's team lost the game but they played well. The game was against some of his old teammates. On Sunday, Mama invited Nanaw over for dinner. She was fixing chili and cornbread, which is what they usually have on Halloween night. But because of Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky being there, Mama changed it to Papa Murphy's pizza. Nanaw went a little early so she and Chase could study for his AR test on Outcast -- Dragon Secrets. They studied before and after dinner, and Chase seemed to know the AR book pretty well. On Monday morning before school, they studied the 20 question quiz on Outcast, and Chase didn't do as well on it as Nanaw expected so they're going to study again on Tuesday morning. Chase said he didn't have time today to get another AR book but he 'll try to do it tomorrow. He has a science test tomorrow on Chapter 1, Heredity. Chase and Nanaw studied that, and he seemed to know the material. They'll go over it again on Tuesday morning. He had hockey practice in the evening so it's a good thing he got most or all of his homework done.
