Tuesday was Chase's science test so he and Nanaw studied the material again before school. Chase had read the chapter twice over the weekend, and they had studied the guide on Monday afternoon. So he felt like he was prepared. He was very excited about Tuesday's lunch: It was baked turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. When Nanaw picked him up from school, he told her he had eaten everything, plus asking for an extra helping of turkey. He also said the science test was hard, and he wasn't sure how he'd done. After school, Chase and Nanaw studied the questions and materials for the Outcast Dragon Secrets AR book intensely because Chase wanted to take the AR test on Wednesday. On Wednesday morning, Chase and Nanaw went over the Outcast questions one more time. They decided he was really ready for the test. For lunch, Chase had one of his favorites: Mexican Haystack. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, Chase was very down. He said he had really bad news about the AR test. He said he didn't get any points -- he got a zero. He didn't know what happened. He said the test asked questions about things he hadn't read about, that he didn't know about. He sent an email to his AR teacher, Mrs. H., about the problem. Unfortunately, she's out on a cruise and won't be back till next Monday. Chase is hoping she can figure out what happened. Then he gave Nanaw some good news: He got an A on his science test, the one he wasn't sure how he'd done. So Yay! Now Chase is going to find another AR book to read. He's probably going to read the printed version of Notorious, the one they've been listening to.
