First thing on Friday morning, Chase played with abcmouse. He played with the hamster for awhile, giving him a lot of water. Nanaw discovered that the hamster's name is Steve -- very funny. At school, Chase noticed that the storm trooper and Batman are still missing -- Nanaw wonders if Ms. Merz might have put them away somewhere. Perhaps Chase and Brady were fighting over them. After school, Chase and Nanaw went to the Train House. Chase was happy to be there. He played at the circus train area for a few minutes before the Creation Station. He spent most of his time in the Creation Station playing with the trains on the Thomas tables. He and Nanaw put together some train track, then Chase went to play in the kitchen and Nanaw went to make a craft. After the Creation Station, Nanaw bought Chase his usual popcorn treat while he played at the circus train area again. When Chase went home, the first thing he did was have Daddy set up the laptop so Chase could play with abcmouse.

Thursday was a good day, with no tantrums -- yay! There was a bit of a fuss when Chase and Nanaw left the library to go to Walmart, but Nanaw told Chase she was going to buy him another color-changing car so that solved that. First thing in the morning, Chase and Nanaw had their own story time. Mama sent Jingle the talking dog and two books for story time. Jingle performed beautifully and didn't miss any of his lines. A couple of times, Chase tried to turn him off but Nanaw said he needed to stay on so he could recite his lines. After their story time, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs to play. Chase played for awhile in his Thomas house -- he got inside and waved at Nanaw through the window. The big adventure of the day was going to Story Time with Miss Candy at the Columbia Library. Miss Candy led the group in singing songs and then read two polar bear books to them. There were more boys and girls there than usual -- 10 of them. The craft was a heart with mittens glued on -- there was white paint to put on the children's hands and then they made hand prints on the mittens -- very cute. After Story Time, Chase and Nanaw went up to the children's reading room, and Chase played with the toys there. This was when he put up a tiny fuss about leaving but it all worked out. He was very excited to get another Lightning McQueen color-changing car -- this one goes from red to yellow. He played for a long while with it with bowls of water in the sink and then in the high chair. He took it home with him so he could show Mama and Daddy. When Nanaw took Chase home, he and Daddy and Mama showed Nanaw how he can use the shaving kit he got for Christmas from Marshay. The first picture below is one that Mama posted Wednesday night on Facebook of Chase shaving -- very funny.

Chase got a hug from Brady Wednesday morning at school and so did Nanaw when Nanaw dropped Chase off. Both boys looked for the storm trooper on the toy shelf but couldn't find it. Hopefully, Ms. Merz was able to locate the storm trooper -- that seems to be their favorite toy. After school, Chase and Nanaw went to Powder Valley. It was really cold and windy outside so they didn't even think of walking on one of the trails. There were still only a few fish in the big aquarium but Chase found Mr. Turtle buried in the sand so Nanaw was very proud of him. When it was time to go, Chase of course didn't want to leave and ran away from Nanaw. One of the men at the reception desk suggested to Nanaw that she say good-bye and head for the door. That worked perfectly! Chase came running after Nanaw, and they went out to the car without further incident. When they got home, Chase rifled through his Thomas backpack and found the package of popcorn Mama sent. Nanaw promised to make the popcorn for him after his ate his lunch of Mac and Cheese -- he did and she did -- Chase loves his popcorn. When Nanaw took Chase home, he told Daddy he wanted to play with his Legos. So he and Daddy went downstairs and got out Chase's bin of Legos and played with them.

Chase and Nanaw stayed at home to play on Tuesday morning because chase's adventure for the day took place at 4 o'clock. For the first time ever, Chase went to Lego Time at the Columbia Library with Miss Annette, his former Babygarten teacher. Chase still sort of thought he was going to Lego Land but he had such a good time at Lego Time that he wasn't disappointed that it wasn't Lego Land. There were five other children there, all around Chase's age -- three boys and two girls. First, Miss Annette read a story about Splat the Cat, then everyone went into the storage room and pulled out the bins of Legos. Nanaw was afraid Chase was going to dump out his bin but he followed the other children and didn't dump it. He made two unusual things without names and was very proud of himself. All the children took their designs upstairs and put them on top of the book shelves in the children's area of the library. Chase and Nanaw stayed in the children's area for awhile so Chase could play with the toys there and the other children. Chase didn't want to go home when it was time and started to throw a tantrum. Nanaw told him if he didn't stop crying, he couldn't come back for Lego Time next week and that stopped his crying. Chase got to stay at Nanaw's house Tuesday night until 8 o'clock because Daddy was bowling and Mama was attending the protecting your children class at Daddy's church. Chase threw a tantrum when Mama took him home, and Mama and Nanaw are hoping he gets through this tantrum phase really quickly. Mama made popcorn for Chase when they got home, and Mama sent a picture to Nanaw of the cute bugaboo happily eating his popcorn.

Chase was happy to go to school today, as usual. Brady gave Nanaw a hug when she and Chase got there. Chase was excited about his new red plastic folder -- hopefully, this one will last longer than the others. Chase got Batman from the toy shelf and then got the storm trooper and gave it to Brady. After school, Chase and Nanaw went to the Grant's View library. That will be their library for the next six to nine months until the renovations of Cliff Cave are completed. Chase had a great time playing with two little girls named Layla and Sidney in the children's area. When it was time to go home, Chase threw a major tantrum. Nanaw had to practically drag a screaming Chase out of the library. When Nanaw was taking Chase home, she told him that Tuesday's adventure was going to be Lego time at the Columbia library. Chase decided that meant he was going to Lego Land, and that's what he told Mama and Daddy when he got home -- that everyone was going to Lego Land, which is far, far away. What a kid!
