Saturday was an exciting day for Nanaw: Chase was going to spend the night with Nanaw at the little house. Mama and Daddy were going to a school auction with Uncle Chris and lots of other people. Nanaw picked Chase up about one o'clock. They first went to the bounce house place on highway 47. Chase was very excited about that. He had a grand time playing in both of the bounce houses. He liked it best when other boys and girls were inside but sometimes the older kids were sort of rough, and Nanaw would have Chase get out and go play with other things. He really liked the stock tanks full of corn kernels. He made corn angels (instead of snow angels). He also like the two slides. He and Nanaw visited the goats and the pheasants and ate popcorn. It was a perfect day that made Chase very happy. On their way to the little house, they stopped at the lake and took the trail around the lake and stomped their feet on the troll bridge. Chase saw people out on the lake in boats and canoes and said he wanted to do that. Nanaw told him she has a canoe and maybe sometime Daddy would take him out in the canoe. Nanaw was very happy to have Chase at the little house with her -- he's such a fun companion.
