Chase and Nanaw had a quiet day at home except for one exciting visitor. Uncle Mike came down to Nanaw’s house in the morning to fix the soffit on her roof, which the wind had whipped loose. Chase was very excited to see Uncle Mike and especially excited to go outside to "help Uncle Mike fix Nanaw’s house." Chase took some of his tools with him and seemed to have a great time watching Uncle Mike up on the roof. One time, Chase shouted up to Uncle Mike, "Be careful, Uncle Mike." Chase wasn’t too happy to come inside when all the repairs were made. But Uncle Mike sat with him at the kitchen counter, and they colored together – very cute. When Uncle Mike went out into the garage to look for a children’s fishing pole, Chase looked sad and said "I miss Uncle Mike." He was happy when Uncle Mike came back and colored with him some more. After Uncle Mike left, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs where Chase played with his trains, played with the groceries and the cash register and watched Thomas the Train videos on Nanaw's computer.
