Chase had an exciting weekend planned while Daddy went fishing and golfing and Mama spent time with Aunt Becca. After school on Friday, Chase, Sam and Nanaw went out to the little house. They stopped at the library first. There were leaves everywhere at Aspenhof, and Uncle Mike speculated that there had been a hailstorm out there that knocked off the leaves. Sam, Chase and Nanaw had a nice walk in the woods. In the evening, Chase accidentally knocked Tee Tee into Sam's water bowl and he got soaking wet. Nanaw dried him off with the hair dryer as best she could, and by bedtime, Tee Tee was dry enough to sleep with Chase. At 10 p.m. the power went off, and Nanaw had to get out the flashlights and light candles. Nanaw called Uncle Mile to get the phone number of the electric company. They said the power was out for about 60 users, and they didn't know when it would be fixed. The power came back on at 2 a.m. -- with the television blaring and all the lights on. Fortunately, it didn't wake up Chase.
