On Saturday, Chase and Nanaw played at the little house and were very happy to have the power back on. They took Sam for a walk and then left in the early afternoon because they had an exciting adventure ahead of them -- going to Jackson's fifth birthday party. The birthday party was wonderful fun. Aunt Jen provided delicious-looking pizza, and she made an awesome super hero birthday cake. Jackson got lots of great birthday presents, including a lot of super hero things. The children played outside most of the time, and Chase had a to-do with a little boy named Ollie. They were playing with a light saber, and evidently they both hit each other. Nanaw was very sorry she wasn't there keeping an eye on the kids -- she was there most of the time but not right then. Both boys were all right but Chase did that gasping, hard to breathe kind of crying. Aunt Jen suggested that all the kids dress up in Jackson's extensive collection of super hero costumes. Chase asked for Superman, and he looked so cute in the outfit.
