Chase's Friday adventure was a trip to Powder Valley. When Chase and Nanaw got there, they went on the long walk. It was really hot outside and soon, Chase and Nanaw were sweating, and Nanaw was looking forward to getting back to air conditioning. Then they had a problem. Unfortunately, Chase wet his pants. And just as unfortunately, Nanaw hadn't brought along dry shorts. So Chase and Nanaw had to go home rather than going into the Nature Center. Chase was disappointed but adjusted well. When they got home, something really good happened: Chase went number two on the Elmo potty, only the second time he's done that at Nanaw's house. Nanaw let him choose one of the "specials" in the bag of toys Mama gave Nanaw to keep at her house. First, he chose the Toy Story flashlight, then changed his mind and chose the Iron Man figure, then changed his mind and chose the painting kit -- which was his final choice. He painted for a long while and got his hands all green and Nanaw couldn't quite get them to be not-green. When Chase got up from his nap, he said he had to have two more specials. Nanaw caved, as usual. Chase went home with the Iron Man and the flashlight.
