Chase's adventure for Thursday was going to Story Time at the Telegraph Road library. The songs and stories were about dinosaurs, much to Chase's delight -- he loves dinosaurs. After sitting with Nanaw for awhile, he went to sit with "the children" as he called all the boys and girls sitting on the floor listening to the stories. Eventually, he asked Nanaw to come sit with him -- very cute and sweet. The craft was making a dinosaur out of half a paper plate and construction paper. Chase was excited to see that there was Elmer's Glue available. He poured a lot of glue on one of the paper plates. Nanaw used his glue to dip the pointy pieces in. After Story Time, Chase and Nanaw spent a long while in the library. Chase was very social, going to sit with other children and playing with them. Two of the adults remarked on how social he is, and Nanaw agreed. He gets that from his Mama. Chase successfully completed the Reading Program and received a book and a ticket to the Magic House. They also gave Chase and Nanaw a sign to put in the yard that says: Super Summer Reader -- Nanaw took a picture of Chase standing by it. When they left the library, Nanaw took Chase to the Goodwill store to buy him a toy. They ended up with four very special toys: a Buzz Lightyear in great condition, a huge stuffed Dalmatian puppy, a little John Deere tractor, and a large construction vehicle Chase can use in his sandbox. Chase took Buzz and the Dalmatian home for a sleepover, but Mama and Nanaw told him Buzz and the Dalmatian were going to live at Nanaw's house.
