When Nanaw picked Chase up on Friday, Mama said he hadn't slept well, and that he felt really warm. She asked him if he wanted to go to school, and Chase said no. So Mama called the school and Chase stayed home from school on Friday. He spent almost all of the time at Nanaw's house lying on the sofa or the futon or the floor. He slept twice -- once for two hours first thing in the morning and then an hour in the afternoon. He and Nanaw played baseball in the front yard in the afternoon before leaving to go to Chase 's house. Friday was Daddy's 44th birthday, and Mama was having a Cinco de Mayo birthday party for him. Chase was very excited about the party because his friend Jackson was coming, along with his parents. Also coming were Aunt Becca, Uncle Stan and Uncle Will-Bill -- and Nanaw, of course. Nanaw played with Chase and Jackson for a long while -- they played with Angry Birds, the Thomas the Train jumping train, the big stuffed animals, Tic Tac Toe -- they had lots of fun. Mama made a delicious gluten-free enchilada casserole and tacos (with a gluten free tortilla for Nanaw). Mama is very good to Nanaw.
