Chase got exciting news on Friday: He was one of the runners-up in the Young Authors contest. Cole was the winner in Mrs. Neff's class, and Chase and Alaina were the runners-up. When Nanaw told Chase about it, he asked, "What is a runner-up?" Very funny. Chase had a major exciting adventure Friday evening. He went to Grant's Farm for the Halloween Spooktacular with Mama, Daddy, Nanaw, Uncle Joe, Aunt Jen and Jackson. Chase wore his Jack Skellington Halloween costume. Jackson wore a werewolf costume, and Uncle Joe tried on the mask and Nanaw took a picture of it. The boys did a lot of dancing, and it was really cute to watch. Mama enjoyed all the skeletons scattered throughout the park. Nanaw was happy to see her friend Sheila from Edward Jones. But Nanaw was disappointed that the kettle corn stand was closed. Chase's Daddy found some kettle corn and bought it for Nanaw -- he's such a good guy.
