When Nanaw picked Chase up at his house on Monday morning, Mama asked her to repair a ghost decoration -- Tyler the cat had chewed off one of the hands of the ghost. Nanaw put the ghost and the hand on the kitchen counter, and when she went to repair it in the afternoon, she couldn't find the hand. She thought it might have fallen into a trash bag so she searched through the bag but didn't find it. She concluded that one of the kitties had knocked it off the kitchen counter. She went searching under the furniture and found it under Pawpaw's recliner. She and Chase were very excited that it was no longer lost. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, she heard one of the mothers in Chase's class saying her kid got in trouble that day. Nanaw asked Chase about the trouble, and he said it was a long story. He said he didn't get in trouble but two of his friends did and had to go to the observation deck and then to timeouts. He said other children got in trouble but he couldn't remember who. Mrs. Neff posted a cool picture of the class on Seesaw. Evidently, when the boys and girls are working at their desks, each one has a three-sided cardboard divider labeled My First Grade Office, with things like sight words on it. Nanaw is going to try to see one next time she takes Chase to class.
