Mama and Chase told Nanaw about the cleaning that went on in Chase's classroom yesterday. Evidently, five of Chase's classmates are out sick with the flu. So Mrs. Meyer instituted a major clean-up of the classroom. They used disinfectant wipes to clean everything. Chase told Nanaw he cleaned his desk and chair and locker. He also cleaned the things of the girl who sits next to him, Lizzie. Lizzie is out sick with the flu. Nanaw went to Dollar Tree today to buy Christmas cards and 2020 calendars. She was very excited to see all the new toys they had. She wanted to take Chase there after school to buy some of the new toys but he refused to go. Nanaw tried to convince him but to no avail. So they went home. Chase played on the laptop for awhile and then they played hockey in the hall. For awhile, Chase sang Christmas songs with Alexa, reading the lyrics. In the evening, Mama texted Nanaw to invite her to go with them on Sunday night to see the Christmas lights at the brewery. When she told Chase about it, Chase said, "You know this boy doesn't like to walk." What a character he is!
