Chase and Nanaw's first adventure on Thursday was an early morning visit to one of Chase's favorite places: Powder Valley. Chase was delighted to be there and did his usual exploring. Chase and Nanaw built birdhouses, watched the fish in the aquarium, watched the squirrels and chickadees eating seeds. Chase had Nanaw draw pictures (ha, ha) of big fish and tiny fish on copies of the Conservation Department newsletters. After Powder Valley, Chase and Nanaw went to Story Time with Miss Candy at the Columbia Library. Chase was really good -- he listened to both books Miss Candy read, and he sat on Nanaw's lap, which Nanaw liked. The craft was making a little Inuit child -- they used to be called Eskimos. After Story Time, Chase and Nanaw came home for lunch and for Chase to play with Play Dough. Then Chase played on abcmouse. He had 391 tickets, almost enough to buy the 400 ticket Dalmatian. But the next time Nanaw looked, he was down to 191 tickets -- he spent 200 tickets on something. Nanaw asked on the abcmouse Facebook page if there's any way to unspend tickets and how you find out what tickets were spent on. It turns out he bought a calico kitten -- very funny.
